Bush is best. I'm not talking about the shitty presidents.
Bush is best. I'm not talking about the shitty presidents.
Bush makes me gag. I hate getting hairs in my mouth, doubly so when they don't even belong to me. I don't know how anyone can enjoy that.
After getting pretty far into Fallout 4 (still on my first character after 153 hours) I feel that companions being immortal was a bad idea. I do not care nearly as much about their well being and survival as I did in previous Fallout games, especially since you're just going to become a walking tank anyway (with or without power armor, really). So companions have turned into walking guns that can hold your extra loot. I think that on either very hard or survival difficulty companions should be vulnerable to all damage, but only after meeting and tagging along with the player character for the first time, in order to avoid them dying out in the Commonwealth at random.

Most followers in Skyrim were like this too. [editline]3rd December 2015[/editline] Or you can wait two more months for GECK to come out.
Games should standalone though I wouldn't quite call battlefront a good game on its own.
Hey this thread is about opinions and not facts
Let's just let kids have Hapsburg Jaws and serious, crippling lifelong disabilities.
the "think about the children" argument on incest is probably not the most valid one around, nowadays almost everyone knows how to use contraception and even if something goes wrong there's always abortion
Lets look at the typical demographic for those who engage in incest. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4010601/ > When the educational status of the victims was examined, 58.1% and 30.2% were determined to be primary school and high school graduates, respectively, and 11.6% of them were found to be illiterate. Admittedly not the strongest study due to the low number of cases included in the study. While this is my own speculation the lowest educated are also typically more likely to be religious. My overall point being the demographics least likely to responsibly use contraceptives or consider an abortion are the ones that are typically involved in incest. I think each individual case should be judged individually and not all instances should be punished but overall incest is bad especially when it occurs at a young age. Undeniably one of the reasons why its bad for them is because of the social stigma attached to it however there are other reasons why its in most circumstances not a healthy relationship.
there's always abortion
Not around here, and def not now :v:

Microtransactions should be considered an anti-consumer practice.
Microtransactions should be considered an anti-consumer practice.
what about the times when they're totally fine
I concede that buzzfeed is 99% stealing askreddit responses for their articles, but I think buzzfeed video is hilarious
Microtransactions should be considered an anti-consumer practice.
And at that, Exclusives should be considered an anti-competitive practice unless they really can't adapt that game to that particular platforms controls or it being too cost restrictive due to licensing.
And at that, Exclusives should be considered an anti-competitive practice unless they really can't adapt that game to that particular platforms controls or it being too cost restrictive due to licensing.
Eh that would not be very future proof. What if in the future we have not 4 major platforms (PS/Xbox/Wii/PC) but 8,12 or even more? How big does a console need to be before it is considered a mandatory release? Plenty of other issues that could arise and its overall a bad idea.

In this instance, instead of Halo being xbox-exclusive, they could develop for PS4, forego nintendo, and maybe port something to the PC if they choose. There's nothing requiring them to develop for the OUYA
Microtransactions should be considered an anti-consumer practice.
I hope companies figure out over the years how to properly implement them. Kind of like how f2p mmo games have come a long way from the 2000s, where everything was shoved behind an intense grind, unless you were willing to hand over a couple dollars, even if you could get the items for free at all. The main problems imo are pricing and appropriateness. Many games just don't need micro transactions or they aren't implemented in a good way e.g. Battlefield 4 and it's battle packs, hardly anyone was excited about rng skins, attachments, and exp boosts. And I also feel companies fuck up pricing a lot. Basic skins should just be a buck or so, not 10 dollars (hi heroes of the storm. And league of legends) for example.
League of Legends is the example of good pricing points. $10 skins is totally fine.
Even DOTA has some really questionable microtransaction practices, the whole fact you're gambling for something for 2.49 and you can't trade the items for 3 (!) months. Not to mention the fact with some items you're preordering the cosmetics you don't even know how they'll look, THEN you have to get lucky to get the item you want (if you wanted any from that chest in the first place that you pre-ordered) the cosmetics are definitely cheaper (Bar the rare stuff) but it has its fair share of seedy practices designed to appeal to gambler addictions. I've given up on dota hats completely except like 3 of my favourite heroes, I sold all of them and gave the cheap stuff away to a friend [editline]3rd December 2015[/editline] DOTA 2 used to have an economy but then valve killed it, now you can find stuff that was like 30-50 cents on the market for 5 cents a pop. Great if you're a new entry but profiteers (but tbh fuck these guys anyway) and people who invested in the game earlier than others are kind of screwed, doesn't stop people from trying to peddle others out on dota2lounge though (Seriously, every 5 deals is someone trying to rip you off to the extreme and prey on new blood ignorance, rarely will you find someone making a fair deal. Lucky prices for most items are easily found on the steam market place so it's not like the values are hiding)
League of Legends is the example of good pricing points. $10 skins is totally fine.
most people don't realize how amazing lol skins are and how much work goes into them, theyre basically new champs cosmetically
Vice News is fucking shit Simon Ostrovsky and a few others like that Henry Langston guy who also covered Ukraine are the only good journalists there As a person under the age of 20 I always feel condescended to when looking at almost any article Vice posts [editline]3rd December 2015[/editline] actually I don't think this is a very unpopular opinion at all
all news is shit. Any service that exists to inform has become a service to entertain, and to this end they misrepresent almost everything in order to build an ongoing narrative that jives with the viewerbase's culture.
most people don't realize how amazing lol skins are and how much work goes into them, theyre basically new champs cosmetically
Even the skins that include new animations, effects, and even a new voice-over could be something like 5$. And most league skins are much simpler than that.
League's business model is one of the worst in the gaming industry, selling something as vital as the characters in a MOBA is just atrocious no matter how you look at it.
I have never felt the need to grind in League. The core gameplay characters only require 3-8 games apiece to unlock, and IP builds up gradually without the player really noticing. If the game's not fun, you shouldn't be playing it. If it is fun, unlocking characters will be a byproduct of enjoying the game normally. LoL's pacing is very deliberately constructed. The only part of League that is truly poorly designed is the rune system, and you literally cannot spend any money on runes.
All character/weapon/whatever the fuck should be 100% available freely without grind, there's literally no excuse for it to be otherwise. It's a lot like software these days in that you're paying for an intentionally shitty product.
I don't have a problem with Smite's set up so far. It's a rotation and by playing more you can keep a character you like. I've just started though, so perhaps it might seem more annoying down the line, but in theory it seems fine.
$20 for every single god and every god to ever be released is a great deal, much better than like 3 league champs you would get for that amount
paying for any characters at all is still a rip off, but the $20 deal is less of a rip off than anything league has to offer.
Everyone should be tested for chances of transmitting genetic illness before conceiving. It took my parents all of a week to find out that they didn't show any signs of passing along common genetic diseases.
'Ey gurl, are you a broken spear? 'Cuz you're missing the point. Also I like Dynasty Warriors/Musou games. It allows me to find the ones that I like and purchase (with earned currency) the ones that I would like to have in my permanent repository.
