i wanted to like fallout 4 but the performance of the game ended up being so awful i couldnt be more disinterested, had way more fun with battlefront and thats saying something
[editline]18th December 2015[/editline]
how is a game this average looking hard to run

Because more than what you see is rendered. It also depends on your computer build.
iirc bethbryo doesn't use rendering occlusion at all, so all objects at the same radius from the camera and within your FOV are all rendered at the same LOD, no matter whether they're behind other objects or not. Explains the texture memory requirements and why places like the financial district run so shittily.
I'm anticipating the new star wars will either be OK/mediocre or a violent car crash (a la The Last Airbender)
100th post yay
Battlefront 1 is better than battlefront 2.
When talking about music I've had people actually threaten my life when I say this but Nine Inch Nails is so overrated it's vomit inducing. There are so much better Industrial Rock/Metal bands out there it's not even funny, such as Gravity Kills or Filter.

I'm currently writing you death threats via post. Expect my anger in 3-5 business days.
I do agree with you on NIN though, even if I do like them. NIN isn't the best of the best.
It isn't being edgy. The Galactic Empire was much better than the Galactic Republic.

Trent Reznor is the Christopher Nolan of industrial rock, good if not the best at what he does but has an undeniable talent for marketability without compromising his music
to me Nolan is the best of the blockbuster makers, but they're still blockbuster makers
this is coming from someone who has a huge ass nerd boner for interstellar, his movies are visually stunning and compelling but his writing is usually riddled with plot holes and forced exposition
I have a feeling I may have already mentioned this, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.
The newest version of Creation engine is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. Sure, how it renders objects around the player has a huge impact on FPS when in certain areas, and sometimes it can crash for the dumbest reasons. B really, is everyone forgetting how much of a fucking nightmare gamebryo was? I mean, seriously. In Fallout 3 and New Vegas, it was vital that I avoided explosives/explosions, vehicles, too many enemies, too many physics objects, etc the list goes on simply because gamebryo would shit itself and fry if anything jiggled a little too much or if too many weapons were firing on screen at once. Now, in Fallout 4, I could spam mini nukes with a MIRV into a packed parking lot and only suffer a slight drop in frames before everything settled itself again. Speaking of that, the game will actually take its time to settle itself before returning to a smooth framerate. Gamebryo would crash and burn forever.
"I will not buy X if it's made by company Y who does bad things"
who cares, drop in the ocean lmao
bonus points if you like everything in X apart from the company who makes X

They're both pretty bad. Sure Creation is a good improvement but it's still leagues behind other engines.

It's certainly better than any of the prequels, I'll tell you that much.

the example you posted for gravity kills is a really bad song
it sounds like some super basic 4/4 rock played through a grunge pedal with cheesy sound effects dropped in during production

As a nearly life-long Nine Inch Nails fan with Trent Reznor as a source of inspiration, I can tell you that worshipping Trent Reznor is not a requirement to exist and that after The Fragile his music has been waning in greatness.

Organized boycotts do matter. Since the loss they suffer is greater, and it typically hurts the company image too. Though some middle class liberal deciding he's not going to buy lenovo or something after seeing a news piece is pretty pointless

Modern Warfare 2 boycott is a shining example
Modern Warfare 2 boycott is a shining example
Them all caving in didn't really help tho

and it was pretty small tbh
Edit: Though, the next game in the series did have dedicated servers. And even in MW2 modders managed to create their own

actually i think the fragile, while it has a lot of really good songs on it, was mostly just an awkward transitional period between super abrasive industrial and going in an entirely different direction. i think he's at his best when he's doing his own thing

which is partly why i like year zero and hesitation marks more than the fragile

it's neither, it's actually really good.
Battlefront 1 is better than battlefront 2.
this is a true fact, and anyone who disagrees is legit wrong.
It isn't being edgy. The Galactic Empire was much better than the Galactic Republic.
this is also true because the Empire is cool, and the Republic is boring politics. I prefer Stormtroopers anyway.
Battlefront 1 is better than battlefront 2.
I haven't played BF2 recently but I feel like they're mostly the same in terms of the infantry combat. Of course BF2 has space on top of that.

considering air vehicles are not on the land maps in BF2 makes BF1 the superior game.

How?
How?
The maps are way better
3rd Factions actively have a place in some of the maps
In Air-Dogfighting
Battlefront 2 has boring space battles, more maps but I feel like there's less variety among them.

It at least shows the person has some amount of integrity and isn't going to make exceptions to their proclaimed beliefs the first chance they get.
Like they kept some of the worst maps from BF1 (Mos Eisley) for BF2 but didn't use the best ones (Naboo Plains, Dune Sea, bespin maps)

I enjoy The Downward Spiral, Broken, The Fragile, and Ghosts the most. Everything else is not as good. The newest one he did was really bad imo.
I like Linkin Park
[sp]I don't pay attention to the lyrics or messages or anything. What I mean is that some songs sound really nice on my ears. Like, musically, they're not bad. A good example is "What I've Done."[/sp]
Hybrid Theory and especially Meteora are still awesome albums.

They kind of do though regardless of whether they want to or not. Most products have multiple companies take part in the creation if it, even the most banal thing such as a pen, no one has the time to sort through all that info.

If they say something like "I don't support X company for Y reason" though then they're only limiting themselves to X company.
As a real world example: I don't buy anything on Steam anymore because I don't support Valve's business practices. The only time a game gets added to my Steam account is because someone gifted it to me (in which case I had nothing to do with it) or because it came with a Steam key such as from a Humble Bundle. I never directly support Valve because I disagree with many of their business practices and I don't make exceptions to that no matter how much I may want a game. If I want a game enough to consider it I'll wait until it's available on another service such as Gog which I have no problem supporting.
Whether my purchasing or not purchasing Valve's games isn't even really the point since, as you said, it won't make a difference if it's only one person. The point is to not just claim I believe X and then do whatever. It's to actually prove that I do indeed believe X by actually carrying through with my proclamation.
I thought the new star wars movie was very mediocre
