Arguing about sexualisation is quite pointless considering everything is sexy and while everything isn't sexy, whole definition of something being "sexy" comes from your brain.
So if you find something as sexualised you should be blamed as much as the thing you claim to be sexualised.
There is nothing wrong with sexualization anyways. It isn't about power, men look at sexy women for the same reasons that women look at sexy men. It doesn't somehow oppress anybody.
I don't understand some modern feminists. They march in slut walks and then abhor the sexualization of women in entertainment.
men and women get sexualized all the time everywhere, i don't see why its a big deal either way

sexualization is not bad but can easily be the worst pitfall of unique character design. the worst example is how 99% of the female characters in MK9 are just interchangeable porn stars with different colored leotards and varying amounts of arms, it's so fuckin boring compared to the dudes' designs which are mostly rad
why would you give the four-armed warrior lady a red leotard with a skull belt and a super hard bikini wedgie
why does the super old undead witch need to dress like a circus performer with the assets of a balloon inflator
why

now bayonetta on the other hand is fuckin sick
I don't like how eggnog is only sold around Christmas time. I love eggnog and would like to drink it all year round
Over here Oak (flavoured milk brand) sells it year round I think, it's pretty great. Had one in March at one point.

outside of the underlying problems with society, I'm just sick and bored of women characters all being skinny with little clothing/armour.
give me women characters like the Maiden of Tarth and Samus and such
if someone's going to wear full plate then there shouldn't be boob cups on it or only super skimpy chainmail
also agree x 1,000 on Bayonetta being kickass
Broadchurch is overrated

No one likes my opinions when it comes to this stuff, but for the sake of it here's Neith in the actual Egyptian lore:

But hey, that wouldn't look cool as a character. We've gotta show more skin because clearly the female character isn't great enough as is:

I'm sick of this shit partially because of the feminist ideals I've kind of adapted to (at my own discretion - I don't think feminism is wholesale correct), but far more because I think it's shitty pandering. I don't hold anything against people being "sexy", but at the same time it feels like it's shoe-horned in everything as the centerpiece to people's personalities. And then whenever I bring this up, I get slammed for not "appreciating the freedom of an artist". I think people bring that up because they're tired of the obnoxious feminists droning on about it and just want to shut down the conversation before it gets to that point, which is understandable to an extent but harmful. No one wants to admit that there's a lot of characters that are shitty because they try to sexualize it in a way that isn't necessary or make it the center of attention. It's boring. It's pandering. It's condescending. It's stupid. But more importantly, it's not that I want to control people's ability to write and design characters, but instead the fact that I think it's the end result of a type of thinking that dominates parts of our society. They can't just make Neith closer to its original form because it isn't sexy enough, and therefore not enticing. I think a social change needs to take place that will domino-effect its way into how we design characters.
I'm not talking about people being sick of sexualization being used to "replace" character development. I'm referring more to the offense that progressive minded people have to sexualization in general.
Please refer to Shirtgate and the Dragons Crown sorceress controversies to get what I mean.

I'm not against sexualization as a whole, don't get me wrong, but my qualm that I have with the way women are portrayed in a lot of games and movies feels like sex gets pushed to the front when I'd rather have stronger characters instead. I've said this before and I've been attacked for it.
I feel like games can be taken a little too seriously sometimes even though I'm all for pushing it as art. It's wrong to say that we can't have hypermasculine males and super over-the-top sexy females, nor is it right to say that every female should be a strong bookworm anomaly. But at the same time, complex games with complex characters - very often RPG's and MOBA's, for example - love to push TITS, TITS, TITS when the male characters aren't being pushed as DONGS, DONGS, DONGS, and it's weird and boring. In real life, when I look at females, of course I'm going to notice their appearance first but I get to know them for them, and it seems like in a lot of these games there's a lot of sexualization and tropes that inhibit that, even in otherwise serious or complicated games. And I can't say that without people thinking that I'm not giving enough credit to the people that do, or I'm not trying to attack men in general, etc. I can't make this statement without being thrown into the SJW blender.
In spite of this, people cherry pick to say, "Hey, we're not doing X." "Here's a list of games that don't have an over-sexualized take on women." "There are games that that have women as the main character." Cool! That's fine, but that doesn't mean that we're "done", and I don't think it's necessarily bad to not be done. People like to say, "Hey, you're completely denying the progress we've made", which I don't get, because I'm all for games changing and I'm happy that they're changing, but at the same time there's still games out there that default to sexuality in spite of better character writing, which I think people should be upset about despite their stance on feminism.
And then lastly, there's people that instantly assume I'm doing this for women. No, not really - I'm just doing it because I'm bored with the status quo. I'm bored with being "safe" in video games. People say that pushing for better women in video games is trying to make video games a safe place, but honestly I think we're exiting that safeness and getting into an area in which people have to be smarter with how they integrate characters.

Clearly we have our priorities in the right place.

I hate it when i see aliens that can be described as "human but X"
If you have any semblance of knowledge of how taxonomy works, you'd probably say that Asari aren't aliens but an offshoot of human or that we'd have a common ancestor.

Thinking that fish isn't meat is beign in denial
It still baffles me that people will defend skins and microtransactions in games you pay for.
Thinking that fish isn't meat is beign in denial
This has always struck me as insanely fucking stupid
[editline]24th December 2015[/editline]
especially when it's a vegetarian saying fish are somehow different

It can be passable, its just that it's never done correctly.
"Hey, spend an extra five bucks for this competitive season and get access to premium servers, complimentary skins, and beta maps! Proceeds go to map creators and server hosts." I wouldn't be offended by that.
I don't care about skins in cs:go but if i had the option to turn them off, i would
no guys you dont get it
it doesnt affect you, so why are you discussing it. youre not allowed to do that, because it doesnt affect you.
seriously guys it doesnt affect you, so dont discuss it. thats not allowed. stop discussing something that doesnt affect you.
you dont have my permission to discuss something that doesnt affect you. your opinions are all invalid because it doesnt affect you.
please tell me im not the only one that sees how silly that argument sounds.
all i want is for game devs to release complete games without intentionally removing content putting it in a diferent pack so I have to pay more to experience the entirety of it
im not being forced to buy anything from wal-mart, but that doesnt mean im happy theyre in my city. does that invalidate my opinions?
