None of the content in CS:GO or Dota 2 was removed in order to be sold later.
i'm talking in general, the game industry right now is just a cash cow
To add onto what Richy and Gwoodman said, I have no problem paying for extra stuff in my game if that extra stuff is actually worth my money. I mean like actual expansion packs and stuff like that. You know, actual additional conent for your game that expands upon it and had a lot of actual hard work put in. What I have a problem with however, is paying however much a key costs (market has them listed at about ~2.50, not sure what the price valve charges is, though I assume its slightly higher) for the off-chance you get a skin which based on artifical supply and demand (there are unlimited amounts of all those skins, think logically for a second. None of them are actually scarce since they exist digitally and have an unlimited supply) is suppoesdly worth 400 bucks, when in reality you'll most likely end up with one worth 20 cents. I don't understand how anyone who puts an iota of thought into this phenomenon can defend it at all.
I believe it'd be a better experience to win rewards by playing the game instead of paying for them. I don't know whether you can win skins through matches since I mostly see people buying cases and keys but what are the chances they're rigged so you get shit skins intentionally so it incites you to pay for better ones? That's what's scary about these, they aren't for the player, they're for profit.
The way I see the whole skins fiasco is this: I don't have to, so I won't. If I want to, I will. It's that simple. I'm not going to be a cry baby because they exist. They don't affect the game from a balance perspective, and they don't affect the amount of money I have in my pockets because I have self control. If anything, it gives me (Steam) money when I can just sell it on the community market.
You shouldn't be able to buy pointless pieces of shit like that. Make then rewards for, you know, actually playing. Leaving a payment option is always going to have some unscrupulous developer, which there are many (see how Early Access has turned out, season passes, skins) will take advantage of it. The only way to prevent that is to snuff it out entirely. I recently bought a used copy of Star Wars Jedi Starfighter, and you know what it has? Unlockables. Things you are rewarded for doing secondary objectives, stuff like x-wings and tie fighters (since the game takes place in the Clone Wars era). Today, if the same game were to be made, you can bet your ass you'd have to pay for that shit. And that's just unacceptable. [editline]24th December 2015[/editline] Oh and fuck Season Passes. Imagine paying for something you don't even know what it is going to have.
I hate it when i see aliens that can be described as "human but X"
Bet you hate Star Trek. Almost every single alien race can be described as "human but with wacky foreheads"
To me it doesn't matter if the game is good, you can't buy it from a publisher such as EA or Ubisoft, etc. Even though DICE may be one of the most talented studios, it's still a bad thing. DICE will lose on it, but if you give those publishers money it will only damage the game industry as a whole, instead of a minor part of it.

It turns the tide and makes them think "HMM MAYBE WE SHOULD SPEND MORE TIME ON GAMES LIKE THIS".

Boy, where have I said "in all games". In fact, my first post on this topic on the last page even says "in games you already pay for". F2P are a rare exception, and are rarely done right. [editline]24th December 2015[/editline] I'd have assumed that based on my previous posts on the last page that people would actually read them, and I wouldn't have to spell those points out with every single post.

But for some odd reason it hasn't worked (yet hopefully) :(
Bet you hate Star Trek. Almost every single alien race can be described as "human but with wacky foreheads"
TNG did address this at least: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chase_(Star_Trek:_The_Next_Generation) Obviously the real reason is its pretty easy to slap "alien" makeup on people, it's way harder/expensive to do cgi/animatronics/puppetry.
Democracy can be the greatest thing of all time. The only problem is that the world manipulated it, and turned it into shit.
I think video games would probably be better off if DLC in anything other than expansion pack form had just never been invented.
dlc isnt inherently bad, just look at the way the souls series does it its more microtransacations and an over-reliance on DLC that made it bad
If you wanted to make women being topless normal and unremarkable, I think you could accomplish it within 100 years. [editline]e[/editline] and honestly we probably should
i dont see the appeal of h3h3

Democracy relies on the peoples wisdom and that was a lacking element since day 1. Ideally you have a competent dictatorship however that is an insane ideal that can never be fulfilled. Even when its fullfilled whenever a dictator dies he must be replaced which always lead to a great big mess or eventually an idiot obtaining absolute power. Democracy consistently performs okay with few high and low peaks. Dictatorships can be be truly glorious and achieve great things however they are also more likely to be extremely terrible. Which is why I prefer democracy despite its obvious flaws. The sexual attraction bit is what makes it hard to integrate. As far as I can tell shirtless men simply aren't as attractive as women. You could perhaps still achieve it within 100 years if you don't mind comitting a lil ol holocaust against any cis male scum that dare find boobs attractive.
I don't have a problem with emoticons. I only have a problem when it starts making up a unreasonable portion of the text. There are some people that froth at the mouth when people use ":3" or ":P" at the end of their sentences, like they're of some high astute on Steam's messaging interface or Facepunch. They need to get over themselves and stop whining over text faces.

Undertale isn't that great of a game
I'd like to keep my armpits shaved all the time

Countries should just elect dictators on 1 year terms. Simple elections that allow for quick reforms. This also makes it so that somebody can rightfully take all of the blame if shit goes wrong. America has too many elections and local elections, the senate and house generally get neglected for the big presidential election. Meanwhile its the president that gets practically all of the blame and credit despite not having all of the power.
People say "Edgy" for anything.

This isn't to say anything about the rest of the government (if anything the Federal government is steadily gaining more powers and it's increasingly taking over the roles of state governments as their failings become apparent).

It might be reduced to a symbolic position, or it might make a comeback. Really hard to say right now.

Still I am not saying that everyone should walk butt naked in public no no no, use your common sense and dress appropriately.
