Honestly the presidency has gone back and forth on the amount of influence it has had for most of the US' existence. It might be reduced to a symbolic position, or it might make a comeback. Really hard to say right now.
I'd say the growth of the size and complexity of the Federal government in general is (counter-intuitively) weakening the presidency. Since he doesn't have as much complete control over it as he used to, naturally his influence declines. Another major factor is that more and more of the Federal budget is being allocated to "mandatory" programs which leaves him less discretionary funds, not to mention that scandals like those of Nixon bring about reforms which weaken the presidency even further. None of the recent presidents strike me as being strong, and they don't even seem willing to use the powers they have the authority to utilize. There's also mentioning the declining public trust in the presidency too. They're much more constrained than they used to be, something I only think people will realize if Trump becomes president or something.
Right-wingers and Left-wingers are two sides of a bad coin.
I'm very bad at explaining things so 80% of this is probably going to be missunderstood.
All political parties do have their differences, but the differences are so small and focused, that people become obsessed with them. This leaves them blind to know that there's really no important choice you're making, that it doesn't matter who win. It's an endless circle that goes back and fourth and after generation and generation that circle has become part of the roots of society, that we believe it's the only way we can use the political system. We keep forgetting that there's alot of other ways to organize and move on with social development and all other systematic factors. This has led me to believe in no politics as long as it focus on the human living standard. This might be a bizare and extreme statement, but I do have Utopian opinions which is probably just dreams thanks to human nature.
I actually quite like the intro song for Spectre. Though it may only be because it really reminds me of Casino Royale and [sp]the tragic fate of Eva Green's character[/sp]
As someone from a country which speaks British English, honestly, American English in most circumstances seems to make more sense. Flavor/Flavour, Sympathize/Sympathise etc. American English has spelling closer to the actual pronunciation of the word.
However, other Americanisms such as referring to hot chips as 'French fries' are still silly to me lmao
who calls cookies crisps you crazy english bastards
I've never been so fond with Fallout
If the Romans had won the battle of Yarmouk the world would been much better off for it.
The Spaniards gave me a warm Christmas
But I like it
The Unabomber actually had some fairly legitimate concerns, but went about dealing with them in a far more dramatic manner than was required or needed.

You could just drop the jargon and say "less muslims = better world"
The executions of Louis XVI and Marie Antoniette were justified. They were leaders of a corrupt, opulent system that abused the people and they showed no remorse for their actions.
The rest of the Reign of Terror, however, was not justified.

By extension, actually, the execution of Citizen Robespierre was also justified. He went mad with power and betrayed the Revolution and the People.
I find Star Trek kinda boring.
I only like the Original and Star Trek: Enterprise. I find TNG and DS9 boring.
These days physical copies of shows and movies seems more convenient than things like netflix.

I've only ever seen TNG and Voyager, TNG is better, probably because Patrick Stewart
Stand-up comedy no longer has anything new to offer as a form of entertainment. Everything that can be done with it already has been.

Explain, there are plenty of new and original routines out there
who calls cookies crisps you crazy english bastards
They call chips "crisps". They call cookies "biscuits", which sounds even less appetizing. Biscuits are dog treats.
Pop is the proper term to use for carbonated drinks
Motorola, Nokia, CAT, are the only good phones left.

Original Series doesn't have much continuity which always bothered me, I wish ENT got more to it, though my favorites were DS9 and Voyager.
fite me

How?
I don't get eating in theaters. Like I get being hungry every now and then but I don't understand why it's some sort of tradition, especially considering how expensive it is.

If they won it, it's most likely that the Romans and Sassanian would have driven the invaders back into Arabia and restored their empires after the destructive wars earlier that century.
Then again if there had been no Phocas, it's unlikely that the Arabs would have gotten out of Arabia either.

Popcorn at home is cozy and convenient, popcorn at a theatre is greasy, grossly overpriced, and theres 60 other people sitting right by you crunching on mouthfuls of food.
I don't get it either.
Growing up in Canada, I never heard anyone call it soda instead of pop until I was about 9 or 10. I'm 21 and it still sounds weird to me.

Sounds like baking soda
Here everyone calls them "fizzy drinks" and my Grandad used to call them "minerals". I like the latter more.
I just call it by the brand of the drink.
I prefer Chadtronic to h3h3

Well, to compare to Netfilx, on Netflix, best case scenario, I log on, search the thing I want to watch, and play it. This is most often not what happens.
Most often, what I want to watch isn't going to be on Netflix. Or, if it is, it's on DVD Only, meaning I would have to have the DVD mail ordered to me well after I wanted to watch the movie or show and then I'm just dealing with normal DVD problems anyway on top of having to mail it back to them. Or, if it is on instant watch, not all the show will be on Netflix quite a lot of the time. Instead, you just have to wait for it to be added whenever they feel like getting around to it, if ever. Then, if it's on instant watch, it depends entirely on your internet connection. Sometimes it can be smooth, sometimes you're buffering a bunch. And hey, any show or movie you want to watch can get pulled at any time. Last time I checked, the George Carlin specials I love so much were all made DVD only.
Alternatively, DVDs and blu-rays as I know them have not really changed. You get the thing, put it in your DVD player, load it and play it. Provided you can take care of your copy, it will work just fine and you will keep it and own it and it will be available to you 24/7. You don't lose all your DVDs because you can't afford a $10 subscription this month either.
Maybe it's a case of 'grass is always greener on the other side', but I'd much rather buy the seasons of a cartoon show than fuck around with buffering, non-instant watch, and un-added seasons and all that other shit.
physically based rendering isn't impressive, it's just more material channels

I prefer blu rays but they're so expensive so I use Netflix unless I really want it on blu ray. Shame the Australian selection is so limited...
