Really to say "X is a shit OS" is to ignore all the problems you have if you choose to go with a different OS. Macs are closed down and have fuck all games, but they come with great image, video, and audio tools. Linux systems are infinitely customisable but require far more computer knowledge than the average person has or needs, Windows is a middle ground which most people develop for so it has the most to offer a standard user. There's no winning when you pick an OS, you just choose what areas you prefer to lose.

Linux is as great as people decide to customize and program for it. It could honestly beat out the others since it's nearly a blank slate that can be programmed to be user-friendly while also highly configurable and extendable for advanced users. Windows doesn't really have that - it is what it is and you're stuck with what Windows decides. It's what I'm unhappy with. I'd replace the entire shell if I could - it's just that most shell replacements suck.

Windows will never be dethroned, at least not in the near future. Both Vista and 8 proved that they could make hugely unpopular changes and still completely dominate the market.

I'm not a fan of any Mac OS, and I wouldn't have the patience to learn linux/gentoo/etc. So I'm pretty much stuck with Windows until I die.

Free roam games (like DayZ or w/e) could do with more consequences for killing players. Mainly because it takes a [I]shitload[/I] out of the fun of the game.

I guess Rust gets an excuse because it's focused entirely on that, but if Tarkov has no way to protect new players or punish people who kill too much, the game will tank quick

It pretty much fails in all of these in one glaring way simply because app dev companies are assholes and are either too afraid or too lazy to support Linux.

The problem is that no one really knows about them. Even the most well-known, Ubuntu, is still somewhat obscure. There are plenty of distros, though, like Ubuntu, Zorin, Mint, elementary, just to name the popular ones, that were designed to be easy to use at first. The problem, I think, is that the terminal scares everyone, but honestly it isn't that bad and you can use these ones without touching it.

Alot of the music alot of fpers hate/dislike I like. For example, Limp Bizkit. I know he's not the greatest, but some of his songs are really good, like build a bridge is one song that is a totally different style of his. It has a good meaning, a good sound, and it's just a great song. Slipknot is another, I don't know if alot of fpers don't like em, but I've seen people say how they are mainstream and shit, which ya, they might not be underground, but I think they are great. Spit it out, Eyeless, Liberate, Snuff, Duality, Before I forget, Devil in I, Only one, Sulfur, Dead memories, and many more of their songs are so good. The only songs I can say I dislike by them are the Vermilion pt 1 n 2, I just don't care for those two, but I think Slip has earned their place as a great band, ya they are odd, and a little of the walls, but hell, so am I. The only other band that has a bigger spot in my heart is Mushroomhead, I love them so much, I have their logo tatted on the left side of my chest, which I know some people will give me flak, but I love em to death, their music has always made me feel better. But ya.

I would rather have a lame car and a kickass computer than a kickass car and a lame computer, not too unpopular among facepunch/virgins but really unpopular for the general population.
