we usually use crappy Opel Astras.
don't we use 06' Nissan Primeras?
I can't say that countries with the Lamborghini or Ferrari are the best because, what can they do?
They can't interecept cause the damages will cost 5x the price of the car, they are very very expensive along with other costs.
I have to say either America or the United Kingdom. The best police vehicle period is probably the Crown Victoria because they have been the standard for the last 20 years, they will no longer be manufactured by 2011, therefore I believe that the Dodge Charger will take it's place.
The car that is suppose to take the place of the Crown Victoria is the new Ford Taurus, it looks pretty damn sweet even though the Dodge Charger is my favorite right along with the Crown Victoria.
Say that again when you have one in your rear view with a Texas state trooper walking toward you. (scratch that, State Troopers drive Crown Vics. Still fucking terrifying.)

Also, word from my uncle (he's a cop) says they're already getting rid of the Chargers because they have a problem keeping up in chases. The Crown Vics are far superior.
"As expected, the Hemi-powered Charger ran away from the Ford and the Chevy at the dragstrip, booming to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds. Yet the Impala packed more firepower than its V-6 would suggest, gunning to 60 in 7.5 seconds-versus 7.9 for the V-8-powered Ford (the beefy Crown Vic is saddled with a 600-pound weight disadvantage)."
KnightVista, you obviously haven't seen the prowess of the motherfucking Astra.

I'm not very fond of international vehicles THAT much, but I take your advice : )

Still working through the years. Sure a bit rough around the ages, but those lived through a number of police car generations, and certainly are not worse at their job than any other police car in the world.

Well that's delightfully convenient for the criminals because they can just expect the police to break down while in a chase after two minutes

Good luck surviving a high speed chase in that. First bump you hit the wheels would go flying.
US, mostly due to the Caprice and Crown Vic's dependability. (Not to mention the Charger/Magnum's hemi power.)

I hope you're joking, because as a current officer, I've gotten to drive the Charger and Magnum. They are ffar superior to the Crown Victoria. Also we have been trying to convert to them because the Crown is made in canada and Ford is getting rid of the model line. they are in no way superior. They were just convenient for putting a larger radiator in. The Charger does just fine, in fact there is no reason to "keep up" in a chase. The main goal is to protect people, so getting in front is best. Chasing is 50% of the goal.
