was a nickname my family gave me since i was the only one that actually liked games. so game = code?
irony is, i am shit at coding.
"VaS" from an old Star Wars Jedi Knight II community
"TinY" from the first day I stumbled upon the server of VaS, and wanted to give myself a nickname other than the default "Padawan".
I thought of Tiny Tiger from Crash Bandicoot, changed the Y to a capital Y, and there you have it.
After VaS died out I kept going with Vastiny everywhere cause it was easy for me to remember
It's a shout-out to Disgaea.
My dog vomited. So "arf barf".
I used my mind.
"You can't go there" -Garik
american dad episode, was supposed to be fladnag but when i first used this name on my WOW character fladnag was taken so i used vladnag

I don't know.
It just plopped up 6 years ago, but I don't use it anymore. Now I use "perka123" or "bowlingpig" mostly.
People in my old CSS clan called me Riceman when the clan leader found out that I was asian. Then I slowly became Riceyrice because Riceman was always taken whenever I wanted to make an account :I
I like Nirvana.
Well, taken my first name and last name...
Starcraft charecter - "zeratul". How I memorised it...
Nate is my nickname.
My name is Nathaniel.
And dude is dude.
I made it when I was 11, fairly new to the internet here on facepunch.
And i've used it as my alias on every website since.
Surname.
somehow i came to get the nickname "gigabyte" at school, shorten it to gigsy
somehow i came to get the nickname "gigabyte" at school, shorten it to gigsy
I thought it was because of Ryan Giggs :P
My name comes from my brothers name, Pim. He has named himself pimgd, and mgd stands for memphisto, gabriel and diablo, the bosses of Diablo. As my brothers name was name + GD, my name became Yannickgd
I made it for a forum, it was for a flash game involving the characters being (something)-Project or Project-(something). I made one where my character would specialize in stealth and infiltration, (ghost) being unseen/unheard on operations. And Project was just the give-in for being a Project-(something).
My other usernames however are sometimes random. Nelyxr was something I just made up, NFK Otter was/is my username for several things based on another forum called NFK, NFK being something made up and having no actual definition, we heard the admin call it a "New Found Kingdom", and I also refer to it as a New Found Kingdom that's Not For Kids. Otters are my favorite animals, so I got NFK Otter.
Played Twister with lights off. That's for my other nick 'DarkTwister'.
Runescape. I wanted to be VCR but it wan't available so they recommended this.
My friend was sleeping over and we were playing HL2:DM on his Dad's Clan's Server, so we had to change our usernames... his was 'NinjaSalami' and I thought "Why the hell not?" and became NinjaTomate :D
Unluckily, my friend now started playing CoD... this is his name now: hax^8S^7a^6l^5a^4m^3i[ESFG]1337.
Dick Gumshoe. It evolved from a derivative of it I used as my Steam profile name, "Gum Dickshoe". After a while, I dropped the Dickshoe part and now Gum has become my most commonly used username on the 'net.
Derives from a joke in the my fifth grade (I was 11 years old). Some of my friend made a joke on how there was a secret brothel in the school, with it's entrance being in the girls' bathroom. I was the head of the said brothel. The joke grew a bit and suddenly I had brothels all over the Finland. And they of course called me "Bordellimies" (Brothel Man).
The joke was dead after a while, but it rose up about 2 years later, when me and my group had to do a fake news article on a crime. Someone in the group suggested that the infamous local pimp (me) was caught talking to another infamous druglord.
Then I started to use this nickname. Might not be all that original nor mature, but I like it.
I'm pretty sure I just thought of it when I was signing up here.
motherfucker wasn't german stereotype enough.
The asshat part: I'm an asshat.
The professor part: *shrug*
i didn't give a fuck about usernames so thats how i got mine
Combination of first/last name, slapped licious on the end of it.
I used to play Lord of the Rings Online a while back. My main character basically became my online identity from there on.
First 5 letters of my surname. When we got our first internet connection, my dad gave me the e-mail address overv161@planet.nl and it stuck.
