Well this conundrum has thrown up a few issues in what you perceive as the end of the Earth, you make it sound like the complete destruction of a planet yet the options suggest ways in which human life will end and not everything. There will still be life on earth even if yellow stone erupts. Cockroaches could probably survive most of these scenarios so that leaves very little.
