I miss the creationism corner, it was a great section of fp
It was nice looking at people's sketchbook threads and watching them improve
oh shit i feel like taking huge shit again
It's less about art and more about being a quitter. The emotion comes from the history I have of giving up and how much I hate that I've never been able to stick to it.
And I don't know if I can take on any more slow, gradual changes in my life right now. There's a lot going on.
It's about not giving a fuck. That's what it all boils down to, a tolerance for failure. But yeah if there's too much going on already it might be best to work on those things, sorry if I came off as "DO ART OR ELSE"
The failure thing applies to damn near everything and it's one of the main reasons why a lot of people become complacent with what they have or what they know.
I can describe the entire cycle down to a T
I get the urge to draw
I dust off my tablet and attempt
then there's a variable phase of a few minutes to 3 days where I'm trying to draw but slowly getting more frustrated with my lack of ability and inability to learn or even know what I'm trying to learn
and as soon as I realize what happens, the emotion surges forth because I know I'm about to quit again and I hate myself for it
and then I shrivel up and become very moody and depressed for about a week, and then I go back to avoiding drawing and not thinking about it
[editline]a[/editline]
like phase 5 of my bi-monthly art meltdown is literally what my posting in this thread for the past few hours has been
Do art or I'll come to your house and kill you

except i'm permanently in the green circles since my technical skill never actually improves
there might have been a time super super long ago when I was improving but that stopped relatively fast and I entered this 5 year-long rift where drawing has been nothing but a source of stress for me
Your art sort of reminds me of those early 2000s animated shows on Adult Swim.
theres something i love about your style mr brown and idk what it is
Imagine if Mr. Brown made an FP version of 12 OZ. Mouse

did they also use Windows Paint and their mouse to draw in those days

You are suffering from another problem that I know very well, your eye for art is better than your skill and you are focusing too much on being perfect. At least that's how I see it.
This thread is derailed (if that is even a thing in wayt) add me on steam of you want to continue this convo, I'm going to bed in half an hour anyways
did they also use Windows Paint and their mouse to draw in those days
Well i guess they did that with 12 Oz Mouse since that show was made for free and barely had a budget.
Whenever I draw, all I see is an unfinished mess instead of the final product, and that turns me off greatly.
ugh just want to go back to college, but still like a bit under a month away
Woah
my blood smells like, a lot like metal.

Like Iron or Copper?
i dont draw because im already bad at enough things and i dont wanna feel even worse hahahaha
Like Iron or Copper?
I think it's iron.
Not exactly in the know about how different metals smell.
My Steam library is full of games that I've played way too much and are boring to me now and I'm bored out of my absolute fucking mind.
