Unreal Tournament or Battlefield 1942, I believe.
Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas. I was looking for some online mod for SA, and I seen 2: SA:MP (San Andreas: MultiPlayer) and MTA:SA. In the reviews it said that they recommend the players SA:MP.. I told myself: "What's so wrong with MTA?". So, I downloaded MTA, installed the mod and played it! It was the best experience.. I later tried SA:MP, but I didn't like it so much IMO...

RuneScape.
Counter-Strike: Source, back in 2004 when it first released. I remember all the players just kept flooding the chat section with discussions on what video card they were running with.
