If you could erase the humanity with the press of a button would you do it?

Yes.
I would come up close to the button with the intent of pressing it and then I'd think about my family and friends and would just turn back.
As a human myself, that seems like a counterproductive idea.
Would you?
I would. Don't get me wrong, I'm not suicidal or anything, but it would be just easy. As if we had never existed.
Dumbass.
Only problem is that there are no animals that rely completely on humans to stay alive (that I know of), you are a fucking retard kalibos. Imagine if there was a species that would completely rely on a human to survive, where and when would've it come to existance?
are you serious or just playing dumb
what about dogs

both small dogs and large dogs would stand virtually no chance in the wild without us, and guess what? that's a fucking lot of dead dogs because you don't want to get up in the morning
Why? No one would know about it. Imagine you'd never need to wake up early in the morning to go to school etc. And besides after you press the button you wouldn't even know that you existed.
You get the same effect if you kill yourself

Guess what? No-one will be there to care if they die, also Dogs aren't the only pets you know.

Man of reason right here folks.
Guess what? No-one will be there to care if they die,
ffs wow don't even bother replying if you don't know what we're talking about
my original post was responding to his post
How is it a loss if there would be no one around to care?
and my point is it's a massive (not to mention unnecessary) loss of life
also Dogs aren't the only pets you know.
no shit sherlock, you just proved the very point you attempted to discredit me over
It depend... The bad point would be us dieing.
But at the same time, we are killing the earth...
But as a coward and a dickhead, i wouldn't.

An artist's rendition of what the OP described.
Sorry, rated you clock, meant to rate dumb. It's kinda like if someone commits suicide by shooting him in the head and then we try to find out who did it we could say "well it surely is not him because he's dead so he couldn't have done it!"
Being dead and not existing at all are two different things.
You wouldn't be around anymore to care, and no one else would either. That's the point I'm trying to get across.
But I like being around.
If you don't, there's plenty of remedies for that.
no...
but if I could just remove certain people then I would reconsider.
First to go would be the cast of jersey shore, followed by all pedophiles
Oh the humanity!
In other news, no. Why? Because I'm not clinically insane. That is all.
Without a moment's hesitation.
Nope.

Also, you wouldn't even need to erase all traces, just make humanity vanish and nature will reclaim nearly everything within a few thousand years.
Not even that, I was watching a doco about nature reclaiming things bla bla within five years of humanity disappearing nature takes pretty much everything
Then a nuclear power plant blows up and kills alot of things.
I would make a backup of myself first.
i would
so you want to destroy everything, everything humanity has and will accomplish, just cause you don't like waking up for school. you wish to destroy our very existance because of you waking up.
that is just unrealistily stupid
No, you're lowering the total happiness level in the universe by killing us and making us unable to feel the happiness that we would fell if you hadn't killed us. That, and the potential that humans have to generate further happiness is tremendous, just a matter of generating more consciousnesses capable of feeling happiness (humans are best for this, just expand to other planets) and supplying them with happiness (mostly through technology).
well, if it comes to a point where 50-60% of the worldwide population is part of the furry fandom, I'd do it.
Let me ask you: Would it make a difference?
I'd press it, before some OTHER retard presses the history eraser button. I want to be the one who obliterates all signs of humanity, not Dumbo Mcumdumpster.
You'd only be speeding up the inevitable.
Only problem is that there are no animals that rely completely on humans to stay alive (that I know of), you are a fucking retard kalibos. Imagine if there was a species that would completely rely on a human to survive, where and when would've it come to existance?
Goddamn near any endangered animal. A lot of them we're actively keeping afloat via protecting them from predators and personally overseeing their continuation through breeding programs. If humans disappeared, many species would starve in their now unmanned confines or get ripped to shreds by the animals which were able to survive alone.
And no, I wouldn't press the button. Humans are only special in the sense that we min/maxed ourselves the best; all other creatures are every bit as malicious, spiteful, and harmful as us. They just don't have our capability for tool-assisted efficiency. Yet.
"Unmaking a race isn't as bad as killing it" I don't really buy, either. In order for any of this to happen at all, there would have to be a "bigger picture" where the timeline is able to backtrack and change things based on later choices. And in that perspective, someone clearly decided that countless amounts of sentient beings did not deserve the lives which they were originally supposed to have.
Let me ask you: Would it make a difference?
Um, yes?
No, but if the question was "Would you take a flamethrower to the majority of humanity", then I'd probably say yes.
