For some reason I got my hands on the WW2 in colour documentary and watched it in a week or so, and now I'm watching WW1 in colour. It's so surreal and honestly haunting seeing a hundred years old footage of war. Knowing how old it is the lives of the people in the films seem so short and unimportant, yet because they couldn't avoid it nor knew better, they literally gave their lives for such vague and distant causes.
