SS2 was okay, however it suffered the opposite problem from SS3: It wasn't serious enough, meanwhile BFE was TOO serious. I hope Croteam gives SS4 the perfect balance of seriousness/non-seriousness that TFE/TSE enjoyed.

There was always something off putting about SS2 that makes me not want to play it. Like, it doesn't look bad (I've never played it), but it seems like such a different tone from 1st & 2nd Encounter (and later 3) that it turns me off a little.
