Leviticus 18:22 "'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
Translation: Being gay is not cool, but do what you want.
Translation: Being gay is not cool, but do what you want.
That would be a good translation if it didn't say Do not at the beginning.
Leviticus 18:22 "'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

Leviticus contains laws and priestly rituals, but in a wider sense is about the working out of God's covenant with Israel set out in Genesis and Exodus
That specific part of Leviticus you use refers to priestly code, so everybody gets to right in that it's not cool for priests to be gay. Huzzah!
Leviticus 18:22 "'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
Does this mean that the Bible is cool with lesbians? That is, after all, two WOMEN together, not two men as this specific quote states is wrong.

Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men
People, let people believe what they want. It's not like some kid on the internet's belief affects your life whatsoever.
A really good toilet paper brand.
Why would you use it as toilet paper? It's already full of shit.
Christians who recognise the bible as a collection of stories about a nice guy and how you should be like him are pretty cool guys. Christians who take it literally to the word and make a point of telling everybody they're going to hell repent repent burn... Aren't.

I actually put the bible along the lines of harry potter or twilight. It's just when it was written, there was vastly less accomplished which could actually make what was written in it false, ergo, people were extremely gullible and had no reason not to believe it, because science then went no further than the study of what was around you (stone/bronze tools, wilderness, poverty). It just gained so much popularity that it kinda got politicized into culture eventually transforming into what you see today. Christianity 1000 years ago would be nothing like Christianity 10 years ago. If you were to actually time travel around those periods with a ton of Harry Potter or basically any mildly believable fantasy novels, and then widely distribute them around the world, it'd eventually overcome Christianity and evolve into some butchered harry-potter religion which is known around the world in the 21st century. You'd see old people in the streets yelling at muslims "we only support harrypotterians in this here state!"
Its called memetics. The religion that tells its people to spread there beliefs will spread more and have more people.
