I thought about it for a long time last year and decided that if my life ever goes completely to shit, I'll join the military. Sort of a last resort for me, I guess.

A slight possibility, yes. If I do good on the ASVAP, then I'll go Navy. Anywhere else is Army.

I'm joining the ADF as a Combat Medical Assistant so they pay for my college (I wan't to become a GP Doctor eventually.)

Yeah, I'm joining the military. Not because of war, because in the military (or the army, whatever you call it) you learn various things that'll be extremely useful to you in civil life. I know a couple scots going that route. MPs generally are considered to be the guys who break up binge sessions.

I think this kind of has a bias to americans and anyone else involved in the current "conflict", not many want to join the military during war times
