Iran is a land that's been constantly changing since they became a modern country 60 years ago, there is no interest in attacking them that can't be solved by the population themself (just look at the student riots a year ago, the youth is not pleased with how the country is changing and they will most likely ensure change from within given some time.) There is no reason whatsoever to attack north korea or iran, there will only be completely unnecessary bloodshed in korea (north korea is a dog that barks and won't bite, making him bite will almost wipe out south korea) and iran. The western world wants to build up their relations with the middle east and doing an unprovoked attack on Iran will only destroy all the work they've done so far.

I know tons of people who have been to Iraq, as well as Afghanistan, and the general idea is, they want us the fuck out of there. No, I have heard that they screw you over. They promise all the benefits, but when it's over, you've survived, and you're older, they don't give you shit. I've heard from multiple combat veterans, but if you don't believe me, ask any veteran you know. Plus, we're basically mercenaries now. We're fighting on another country's behalf, not our own.

In Finland we have to choose between 12 months of "community service" (Don't really know a better word of it.) or 6 to 12 months of army. And one option is jail. So yeah, I'm joining the military.

It's because we are narcistic bastards who want to impose our own culture onto people who don't want it and we do it with force, killing the people for no good reason except that they are different. Imagine a much, much stronger force (let's just say Iran for simplicitys sake) invades your country saying they want to overthrow your president, they do so with force and really mess up shit everywhere and hires mercenaries to do their work, ensuring that war crimes will take place without reprecursions.
