This is the attitude that starts wars. I hope to God that you don't lead any military, or political party when you grow up.
That's political as well.
Err... So is Al Qaeda.
Overall; my point is that we can't only blame muslims. Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and whatever: Every religion have an influence on modern wars around the world.

I know that, but Muslims (speaking generally) are the cause of most of today's quarrels.
pacifism get
lol religion
I know that, but Muslims (speaking generally) are the cause of most of today's quarrels.
Good. It's just so common that people only blame Islam while defending other religions nowadays.
pacifism get
no, i like to watch UFC
lol religion
Are you going to contribute at all? I'd love to hear what your opinion on this is, if you even have one.
Good. It's just so common that people only blame Islam while defending other religions nowadays.
Well when Islam is all they see as being any sort of belligerent, I wouldn't blame them to be honest...
pacifism get
Agree'd. Anti-war Pinko Hippie Liberal ftw.

Not really, but if you think so.
No, I'm a Fag?
OP sounds like a high school drop out.
Not really, but if you think so.
What, you think it's Obama or something? It's all about oil, middle east and Muslims. Watch/read the news more often.
I want to join the TA after college
no, i like to watch UFC
oh okay in that case I denounce my personal preference of pacifism
No, i like guns but i can't accept killing people. Self-defence is different thing.
If i fail at college, yes.
No, i like guns but i can't accept killing people. Self-defence is different thing.
Going to war is technically self defense. People try to kill you when at war, if you didn't know already.
I'm very open minded to religion, but islam seems to be the least respecting of people outside their religion. Obviously they are taught to tolerate and love everybody, but they're also taught that anyone who doesn't practice their religion is going to hell. Obviously christians and probably other religions also believe this, but it's a stronger belief with islam because they believe the qu'ran is the purest iteration of god and that they are right.
This isn't to say Islam itself promotes violence or war or anything like that, and if anyone draws that point from this post they're totally missing the point.

Going to war and shooting at other people is probably the least logical way of defending myself I can think of.

It's the only way to be :h:
Going to war is technically self defense. People try to kill you when at war, if you didn't know already.
Yeah, but only if i have to. But not voluntarily. It's more like "defending" your country.
no i would fucking get blown up by a roadside bomb
I've definitely put a lot of thought into the British Army. Particularly an engineering aspect. But with a predicted 10% cut in the MoD's budget next year, poor pay for the skill levels required in engineering roles and the huge public outrage at our troops being ill-equipped, I'm begining to get a little hesitant on joining.
Going to war and shooting at other people is probably the least logical way of defending myself I can think of.
If one's country is directly threatened by another i.e. invasion, it is the logical way to defend one's nation. Though I suppose if one didn't give a damn about one's friends/family in the country or the country itself one could always emigrate.
Personally, i'd rather die fighting than being bombed/shelled in my house, and i'd probably never forgive myself if I avoided fighting while friends and family died. Well, that and it would be required from me in the event Finland was invaded.
I did 6 month one and now it has been about 4 month and some days from that last day of service. I was not happy going to military, could have done something better during that time..
Well if you're a fat bastard like me, you might lose some weight. :v: And you learn hand-to-hand combat. (Well at least in the army where I'm going to.)

There's lots of things I'd die for, but nothing I'd kill for.
[editline]18th October 2010[/editline]
and it's not the only logical way to defend a nation. there's this interesting idea called diplomacy I heard about. maybe people should give that a try.
There's lots of things I'd die for, but nothing I'd kill for.
Then I suppose that is where we differ. I would be willing to kill to defend the country I live in, as all the people I care about are in it. As for whether i'd cope mentally with it after the fact, or survive physically; that is a different matter entirely.

What's the difference between the people in your country than the people in someone elses country?
They are poorly educated and we are dominate superpower.
