HalfLife2: Game of the year Edition, But I couldn't play it for nearly 2 years, since I lost my steam account password, and VALVe took that long just to reply...though, it was 2005.
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero
I had no need for a steam account before this really, I had played at a place called Euphnet and they had a bunch of accounts you could use for free with tons of games on them
If the retail copy of the Orange Box doesn't count, then Gmod.
Well right after I installed Half Life 2 when it came out, I played Codename: Gordon first, that was the best shit ever
Half-life 1 anthology (Hl1, tfc, cs, ricochet, dod, Hl1: blue shift, Hl1: opposing force and deathmatch classic)
This. I bought it at a pawn shop and each game had a CD key, most of them didn't work but I gave one to my friend and I used one and and him and I played CS everyday for about 2 years.

Portal. It's what made me install Steam, and it was a good choice.
HL2, only bought it for gmod 8
HL(that came with CS1.6+TFC+DoD+HL:DM+Rcochet+Blueshift/Opposing Force)
Half Life 2. + CSS Pack
I bought the game at the store and had to install steam to play it. At the time I thought steam was the dumbest idea ever. An extra program I had to run just to play a game? Rubbish!
