ever read Ender's Game?
amazing book

at times Scott's mormon upbringing is apparent and annoying in the text, but very tolerable, the story makes it worth it
another good book:

tldr; racists go back in time to hand the confederates thousands of ak-47's, who in turn win the war
I have to read books for school, so yes, I do read often.
I've read a lot of great books, so I can't really say I have a favorite. It'd probably be a tie between Robinson Crusoe, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Lord of the Flies, and Catcher in the Rye.

Probably The Giver for reasons unknown or Glenn Beck's The Christmas Sweater. That book really spoke out to me.

Best. Fantasy. Author. Ever.

This one will be released into a TV movie later this month, but he's written at least thirty of them!
Hells yes, Terry Pratchett is my favorite author. Also, Good Omens was awesome. Terry Pratchett + Neil Gaiman = Comic genius.

Another Terry Pratchett fan here. Easily the most funny/interesting stuff I've read, ever.
I read very very very rarely. About 1 book a year.
Not reading anything currently, but my favorite book/series are Alastair Reynolds' Revelation Space trilogy.

Interesting fact: The kid who wrote that came to our radio station in Houston To advertise his book.
I very much enjoy Tolkien's books. Especially The Silmarillion. Cormac McCarthy is also pretty neat.
this is probably my favourite book ever

I had the option of doing that book for our ISP project in Gr. 12 english. Instead, I did this:

I love David Wong, too bad his Cracked articles are between far and few.
:siren: WARNING! SPOILERS :siren:
So, I just finished Slaughterhouse-Five, and am having trouble with some things:
Did Billy go crazy and imagine everything? I just thought that, because it said that his favorite science fiction author wrote a book about two Earthlings who were abducted by aliens and put in a zoo type area, which is exactly what happened to Billy. This leads me to believe that Billy fabricated the story to hide from the facts of his experiences in the war. Am I right?
Also, was there any symbolism in the book beyond the following?:
1. Humanity is flawed
2. Don't try to play god. What is is, and you shouldn't try to change anything.
3. War destroys lives
EDIT:
Nevermind, I got it.

High five!
I want to re-read this book I read years ago. But I can't remember what it's called.
It's the typical fantasy with humans, dwarfs, elves ect.
What I remember of the story is about a dwarf that keeps an elf hostage in a modern time where they lived like humans.

Eh maybe to you, but to me it was great. Seeing as I barely read books at all, because most books seems boring to me.
And that was just a small part of it, I can just remember that, it was on around 300-350 pages me thinks.
