The mindless shooting is part of the fun though
I dunno I had a blast with New Order
It went for balls to the wall action and gave a story that was surprisingly intricate and full of emotion
It knew when to be serious and when to not be
That and the shooting was incredibly satisfying

It's not like Doom or something where the shooting feels satisfying though. I can't make out the enemies from the backgrounds and all the weapons I used felt flat. I don't mean mindless in a Doom or Quake sort of way, I mean mindless in a call of duty sort of way. There's nothing to it.

Was one of the most fun shooters I played in years and the guns for the most part felt fun to use, can't really recall one I found boring

Fair enough, I'm just kinda surprised since I thought the game looked great when it was new and now that I'm actually playing it, it just feels... bleh.
I've come to realize that I think I just like multiplayer games more than single players ones these days. I'm not sure why I drifted over to that side of gaming these last few years.

I guess it's really just an opinion but I'm having the hardest time understanding that view point
Granted I don't think it's the best shooter that's been made, but it's one of the best modern ones I've played.

Shooting was satisfying, cover system was unique, enemies felt equal parts menacing and fun to shoot, game knew when to use quiet time to make you appreciate what you did and all that similar to older shooters back in the day, I just loved it
