I don't think what you were doing could be considered fighting, don't worry about it. People probably just said stop fighting because it looked like it might turn into a fight :v:
The "fighting" here is a lot more civilized than on any other place on FP at least. It usually turns into personal shit slinging and seeing who can be more of a spaz to the other. That was pretty much why I just left the Gay thread.

I've been down the same road. What you need to know, though, is that, even though some might come off as dickish, most of your critics have the best intentions. and only want to see you improve.
That's not criticism.

That's not even criticism, it's just destructive insults coming from childish assholes who have nothing better to do than to try and tear down someone else's confidence.
If you can train yourself to ignore those idiots and pay more attention to actual criticism, especially constructive criticism, you'll hopefully get along better.

You have people behind you that like your art for what it is Daniel, flaws and all. While everybody has room for improvement, never let elitists or assholes get you down.

The truth is, it started out that way. Back in 2013 I started posting in the creative work thread, the artists gave me constructive criticism but i didn't listen an continued doing my own thing. I promised I would listen but I ended up not doing it. And they used to want to help, but now after years of doing my own thing they started getting mad at me, and I got mad at them. Fast forward a year or so and I'm told that everything I make is terrible and that I should find a new hobby or kill myself.

If anyone is seriously telling you to kill yourself over your art, fuck them. They aren't trying to help you. Just quit paying attention to those asshats.

That's just it isn't it? if one side doesn't stop holding a grudge from the past, and keeps insisting on making life hard for the other people, despite any change or improvement, that's being a dick and nursing grudges for the sake of being a dick. Everybody can change, even the shittiest of us. Don't let their behavior get to you. Not now, not ever.
Seriously, quit paying attention to them and it resolves everything.
You'll meet a lot of people, especially if you're prone to being online, that will just hold shit against ya and think you're bad and worthless for any reason really
You can't really let people like that get to you cuz no matter what you say and do, they probably will never be convinced that you're worth something. You just gotta keep going on and just focus on being yourself amidst those that'd rather you be someone else.
Keep doing what you have passion for, don't let anyone else take that away from you.
