I've had friends get annoyed at me for so rarely wanting to play a game with them or in the case of my irl friends consistently turning them down when they try to rope me into whatever new mmo they're playing. (I turn them down there because there's only two possible ways it could happen. I'd either play at my own pace and fall behind thus making it pointless to play with them or I'd play at their pace and not only spend too much of my time playing but completely ruin any fun I'd have by turning it into a job.) And for me it's not so much that I mind multiplayer games (though I definitely do have a strong preference for singleplayer) so much as it is that not only is my taste in games a fair bit different than my friends but on top of that if I'm not in the mood to play a given game then I won't play it. The only multiplayer game I've played with my friends in quite awhile now is Terraria though honestly even that is pushing it because even though I actually have fun with it even when I'm starting to lose interest or have something I else I should go do I feel obligated to stay and continue playing since my friends have a habit of basically all quitting after the first person leaves even if they want to continue playing. Though when it comes to playing games the only one I even play all that regularly is Audiosurf anyways, lol. And even with that there's times I'll go for a month or two without playing it. This kid just pulled out his electric guitar in class and started playing that one song by Slash that EVERYONE knows (just forgot the title) and it was actually badass as hell. He was one of the quietest kids in the class too.
