The pricing on GTAV is fucked up. It was originally $60 (or just $59.99) at full price, and it's been "dropped" to $59.89 from what looks like $79 and $84. How does that work?

this reminds me of when big pharma got upset when a bunch of popular and lifesaving drugs got added to the essentials list and hurt their bottom lines a lot. They cried about it in the courts but the supreme court told them to go away. Three months later the prices of other essentials not covered by the list and medical glassware and the like mysteriously rose by 15-25% across the board.

Maybe a little but it's kinda genius to be honest
The more they make the sales feel like a community event the more likely the majority of people are willing to buy stuff from it and contribute towards whatever marketing gimmick it's doing

Everyone should get Valkyria Chronicles, it's a fantastic strategy game and at $5 they might as well be paying you.

If you had to take drugs and play a game, really, I think LSD Dream Emulator would be the best option. It might be overplayed by now, but I still love that game just for how unique and uncomfortable it is.

I dunno sales seem fine to me besides me owning most of the titles on it.
Servers also seem to be working fine now, I mean you should kind of expect them to go over capacity when it's basically just started. That's always been the case and usually happens on most sites with huge sales
granted the actual robot game thingy isnt working at all for me so that part's really bad on their part but the actual storefront works fine for me

If you like games like Fire Emblem or X-Com you will probably like it, as it's a similar kinda game, you move your units individually, stats play in to how successful their actions are, squad members can permanently die, etc.
the main difference is that it doesn't work off of a Grid, rather your units can move based on an action point meter. The squad members themselves are also very distinct in personality. It's also a pretty gorgeous war time story, it's not overly complicated but it's well executed
It's got a great aesthetic and it's loads of fun, one of my favorite TRPG's
