Off the topic of pregnancy All my cats are rescue cats, but one of them was badly abused before we rescued her. She flinches whenever you go to pet her. Once she realizes you aren't going to hurt her though, she purrs loud enough to shake the house and jumps right into your arms and loves you forever. Rescue pets are the greatest.
