Depends on who the 1000 are. I don't necessarily have to know them, as long as they're, for the most part, decent people. If they're corrupt politicians, criminals, or other useless scum than fuck no.

No, I probably wouldn't die. As much as most of us would like to think we would do the noble thing, I doubt even the ones who said yes would make the decision to die. Saying yes now really doesn't mean anything.
