Although a Heavy Metal Maniac i also enjoy listening to Old School Rap like Swollen Members or AOTP.
Which means - if there is talent in it and not just made cuz it lives up to contemporary trend, rap can be good too.
Jedi Mind Tricks and Eminem, some stuff from Mos Def. That's about it.
I don't like what people call rap nowadays, but some of the old legends I like.
I can recall loving only a single song.
It was Today Was A Good Day by Ice Cube.
I do love some random tunes I hear here and there, but I can't say I actually love the genre.

Don't really like rap too much, but there are some good ones, from certain groups. Also, old rap is by far better than new rap. Gangsta rap is pure shit.
I have this weird fetish for 80s synthing, so they sometimes intersect. It's mostly really the early stuff that I was introduced to via Overpowered by Funk. It may sound rather primitive and "steady" but at least it's not overdone and holy fuck people talk fast.

For instance I only like "'Till I Collapse" by Eminem because it was in the MW2 launch trailer.
I'm not really interested in it, but I don't have a stick up my arse about it as seems to be the case in most gaming sites.
Depends on the artist like any other genre of music.
I love rap. I love all genres of music.
Some are good, some aren't. I mainly like the ones that either have:
A: A good bass/instrumental
B: A good accompainning artist
C: If it's a parody rap some
D: If it has meaning
Z: If it's just balls to the wall awesome
