Well there is one I own, I used to go over to a friend's house often and there was this old house near his house. It was abondoned for years and was really old. Out of fear of asbestos, we all wore one to explore. That was about 5 years ago. Now it sits in my parents' house, collecting dust.
Sadly none of you will believe me so yes I own a gasmask because I'm an edgy teenager.
I bought a GP-7v a few days ago.

I own one because a bunch of my friends and I all bought one each during a school trip. We used to make short films together so it's a good prop

However, I've known a dude who did collect war-stuff. He was with us when we were airsofting in middle school, and me and a friend (a black fellow) stayed over at his place for a night (around an island-area off the coast, where we played airsoft too) and oh yeah, he had a gas-mask.
I even tried it on, and he had other stuff too like helmets and uniforms, so pretty cool stuff all in all. What the hell is wrong with gas-masks anyway? As in what they're meant for, and through the interest in history and war perhaps, happening to own one? But not a dozen necessarily ofc..

I own one for display purposes only. Bought it when i lived in moscow, from a war veteran who had gone broke. Paid a whole lot for it, cause it was his (had his name written on the pouch)
Sadly, I don't have space for it on my display shelves anymore, so it had to go to the basement.
I remember my father gave me one for my 10th birthday...I thought it was pretty cool.

It's so fucking cool though, and comfortable too.
It's fun owning a gas mask because you can laugh at how unrealistic they are in video games and movies, I can hear and see fine while wearing it, I'm a little muffled but still understable.
And it's cool, I don't have any filters though.
Well, I have actually been drilled in using gas masks properly in the military. I don't plan on being gassed by anyone anytime soon though.
Privately, I own a half mask for when I spray paint and work with sanding materials that generate particles that isn't exactly a good idea to inhale.
I considered buying one but then I remembered that I dont have a fedora to go with it.

I had a gasmask... With a bong connected to it. However, face get kind of greasy after use.
Bought a GP-5 a few years ago for shiggles but it has a small rip in the rubber near the top so I doubt it has much use besides as a costume piece and scaring the shit out of friends

I've got an extra filter too. I didn't have to pay anything for it considering it was given to me, and not even the person who gave it to me had to pay for it because a bunch were being tossed out to the trash anyways.
I bought one for a Halloween costume.
