Basically it went down like this. "Parents, I'm too old for this amount of control over my life." Dad : "LOLNO." But that "LOLNO" was extended between 2 hours of arguing and my dad somehow complaining about every little thing I do wrong. Turns out I need to kill them. Or just wait till I get out to college.

Don't do anything stupid for about a month and don't complain to your parents about them being overbearing control freaks. Then try talking to just your one of your parents at a time. Try being persuasive but don't yell or get mad. I did this and I talked to just my mom and it worked.

If I ever make some babies, I'll be extremely easy going so they actually love me and want to be around me. I despise being with my parents because no matter what I do, they always end a conversation with screaming and me chargin' down the stairs into my room. (I'm a literal basement dweller, but it's one of them fancy livable basements.)

Leave a note in the kitchen stating how you can't bear with all this control anymore. Pack your backpack and stay at a friends house a couple of days. That will teach em.

Just wondering, but do these parental controls affect all the computers in the house? Also, buy replacement router while they are out, change default login details, troll parents.

Do a Hardware reset on everything. Xbox router Pc Cell phone. Why do you even have an Xbox at this point there isn't any point in playing with these limitations really. If they won't take this shit off just sell it all there isn't any point in having it you might as well get something for yourself and not tell them about it. Alot of ass-holes decided they wanted to punch me in the face defending yourself gets you suspended. I was suspended about 20 times for fighting in elementary just for defending myself. They expect you to be-able to run to the teacher every time. I seriously just started leaving the school during recess. They don't notice.

I've had my own, ungoverned side on a family computer since i was like 8 years old, and built my own computer entirely when i was 13 or 14. Being 16 now, i think you're the only one.

I don't have this problem, seeing as i set up the Live Parental Controls before my parents got the chance to :v: Now i decide what pages they can't visit and so on. I get a bigger allowance as a bribe to not block my parents bank websites :smug:

Like for example if you don't have a Facebook account alot of people won't even talk to you because well they can't they don't use any other form of communication. You don't get chicks numbers any more you get their Facebook if you don't have that then they lose interest really fast. A few relation-ships I've been in the Girl got really mad because I hadn't changed my relationship status after which I dumped them. That sounds really stupid but that's all they really cared about it seemed like. (I was correct)

Two of my friends are 17 and they have a filter with website they are allowed to visit. Facepunch is not on that list. :v:

Let me tell you something : I am 19 years old and I still had the parental control until like 7 months ago. Shit is annoying, but you just gotta wait for them to understand youre not a baby anymore. Also, My friend is gonna be 20 and his parents still decides for him when to get back home and very often, they tell him "we dont want you to go out tonight" . I have no idea why the fuck hes not doing anything about it, but it pisses me off.

Someone from my old school had really strict parents that blocked almost all websites off his computer and did not allow him to play any computer games other than the ones already on the computer (minesweeper etc.) He was also forced to go to bed at 8PM when he was 16. He tried to kill himself a few times.
