I met Simon Pegg, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Baley and Tim Curry while i was being a extra in a film. It was recently, only last month or so.
What movie was it? At World's End?
My dad helped the lead singer (I think lead) of Stray Cats pump his gas. He also told me at a Stray Cats concert (I think it was Stray Cats, don't remember) one of the guys got drunk and fell on my dad's friend
My aunt worked in New York City and she seen and met a few people
- She used to work in a jewelry store and according to her, Micheal Jackson came in once.
- She said she saw Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld together, some lady asked on of them questions and one of them yelled at her
- She met and got Ozzy's autograph for my grandma
- She sat next to Hulk Hogan on a plane I think
- She saw Hogan again and said her cousin (Me) likes you. He said "yeah,so?"
Steve Jobs took my mum out to lunch once. My dad was pissed.
Dara O' Briain always visits the pub my dad is a local at when he stops by to watch Arsenal play, I had a talk with him and he's a pretty good guy.
And I doubt many of you would have heard of him but my next door neighbor is David Starkey, the historian.
I met Edgar Wright once. He directed Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Spaced.
There was the Maori queens funeral, I was little so when they were putting her coffin in the car I was like right next to the car, I met the ex priminister and shit then me and my dad went in a trailer and passed her again as she was in her limo.
I've met some of the people from the movie American Graffiti.
Also, my Mom met Brad Pitt, he actually lived by our neighborhood for a while.
I met and talked with Jeremy McKinnon (lead singer of A Day to Remember) outside of a venue an hour or so before the show. He was all disguised up with a beanie and aviators but I recognized one of his tattoos and said something, but was pretty discreet about it because I knew he didn't want a bunch of fans all over him. He was a really cool guy. The venue was sold out (I was gonna try and buy tickets at the door) and he tried getting me and my friends in, but the bouncer wouldn't have it.
Doesn't really count as meeting, but I shook Phil Labonte's hand at a show when he was filling in for Howard Jones last month. That was pretty cool.
I have.
I was inspired to make this thread by the fact that I went to see Alice in Wonderland with my girlfriend (She really wanted to see it... :C), and was amazed to recognize the person in the seat next to us. I didn't recognize him at first, I thought he was just a friendly old man, but I realized about 3 minutes before the ending of the movie that it was Alice Cooper. He actually lives not 4 miles away from my Grandparent's House in Phoenix, near the theater. He was a really nice guy, and it definitely made up for the horrible movie.
Anyways, have any other Facepunch members met Celebrities? Were they dicks? Nice? Do tell.
Haha awesome, I have been to Alice Cooper's Town before but he wasn't there. I think sometimes he is though. I live in Phoenix too btw.
I met Travis Pastrana before. I had him sign a dollar bill and later my copy of DiRT 2.
I met Jim Carrey!
He was walking out of central market in my city. I just got a shopping cart and i nearly shit my pants. I said "hi" and he said "hello" in a funny voice and walked off. I had butterflies in my stomach the rest of the time
Too bad my cousin was a dick and left to go to a video game store (without money)

I also met Geoff Rowley(pro skater), and I have a few pictures of vert skaters(Tony Hawk, Bob Burnquist, etc.) but not close enough to talk to them. :(
Also like 10 years ago when I was 8 I actually got to talk to Sinbad(that shitty comedian that played Jingle All the Way), he talks fast as fuck.
A few Dutch political people (My dad works at the Ministry of Defence as a chauffeur so I could go to his work for a day if he had nothing to do).
