Half-lives, doto to, .. and TF2 during the class updates (which spanned over 4 yrs?), or up to the point where the classy shooter became a one big children's birthday party.
Valve still makes games?
Team Fortress 2
Valve still makes games?
They do make games, at least once a year..none of them half-life :(
A long time ago, I might have said TF2, but I haven't even touched it in months. I had a lot of fun with Episode 2, including getting the gnome achievement. I think I would have to go in that direction.

Half Life 2. Such a good game, also helped bring about so many awesome mods thanks to its engine.
Valve makes games?

Valve still makes games?
I'm wondering why people keep making this phrase. Valve is one of the most active game developers nowadays. They have, what, released 26 games in 16 years? Latest ones are: 2010: Alien Swarm. 2011: Portal 2. 2012: CS GO. 2013: Dota 2. Look at developers like Crytek. They have 800 employee. Valve has 330. Crytek for example has only made 7 games in 10 years. Cryteks main focus may be engine development, but Valve also made Source and Steam and is still working on it. Valve is not lazy. They are very active. They are only very silent when it comes to Half Life 3. And I'm pretty much fed up with people saying that Dota 2 doesn't count as a game. Well, what is it then?
halo
The only valve games I like is Portal 2, Team Fortress 2, and only the minigame modes of CS:S.
I find it rather difficult to ignore something being shoved in my face every time I play. It just doesn't feel like the same game anymore.
There are No Hat mods, also if you don't like the community as well, you can disable the chat [editline]4th January 2014[/editline] And I am going to vote for TF2 as well
I think HL2 is one of the games that aged the worst with its gameplay. Really static and boring gunplay, only thing that made the gunplay fun was the gravity gun. HL1 had way better gunplay in comparison. Coming from a hardcore fanboy.
I have to agree, though I wouldn't quite say it's boring. I still love HL2, but comparing it gameplay-wise with something like FEAR, or even Max Payne 2 (which came out about a year before), the actual shooting isn't as fun. It's kinda like HL1 but with less powerful gun sounds and less exaggerated firing animations, and barely any hit reactions aside from a small flinch the combine sometimes do. I know some of that is remedied with mods, but still.
portal and portal 2, I've played half life 2 and thought it was boring and just... not so great.
Portal 2.
I'd probably have to go with TF2, pre-Mannconomy of course
HL1 > HL2
Black mesa:S > Everything not valve but it is a valve remake so close enough I guess
I still enjoy the gunplay of HL2
Opposing Force, Portal 2, and TF2. Never really was the biggest fan of Half Life, in all honesty.
Deathmatch classic
A tie between Portal, HL1 or 2.
DOTA 2, simultaneously the best and the worst game made by Valve
