If you are lucky sharp metal from the plane will penetrate you so quickly you won't even feel it. If you are lucky. if not you will feel a horrible pain until you die from blood loss...or starving...or both...
Assuming the plane crashes. Which chances are actually as small as winning at lottery. [editline]09:07PM[/editline] But if the plain crashes, prepare for the most painful moment of your life.
That's just plane silly! You have nothing to fear, except terrorists and snakes...
They wont. You'll be fine.
but what are the chances of surviving?
96%, I've heard.
I had a massive fear of flying until I actually flew, so far I have been on 8 flights and not one has gone wrong. I think one flight had 30 seconds of light turbulence and that was it. I think it's worth noting that 4 of these flights were 9 hours long and I didn't sleep during them, so it's gotta be pretty damn safe. The thing that is most likely to kill you is the on-board meals. Seriously, bring your own food because that shit is nasty.
I actually DO wanna crash. The crash-onto-an-strange-island-with-the-others
Air crash investigations is playing now and making me panic like fuck. We're going on Malaysia Airlines in December to Bali. I don't mind if we're going on Qantas. But malaysia airlines? Fuck that.
I flew with them from Malaysia to New Zealand (11 hours) and thought they were the best, cleanest and friendliest of all airlines. Thousand times better than Royal Dutch Airlines and Air New Zealand.
I get on my flight alone, hoping that we'll have terrible turbulence. Only exciting part of the entire trip. I get food from outside the plane though.
Planes are fine. "Statistically you're more likely to die in a car..." etc. Bring movies, plenty of music, just keep yourself entertained. Time will fly (lol) by and you'll be on the ground again before you know it.
Imagine that you aren't flying - but that the world is flying around you. :keke: It's how the space ship from Futurama works - the engines don't move the ship, they move the universe around the ship.
I guess the best way to help would be to just keep reminding yourself of the small chances of something bad happening. So much is automated nowadays it's incredibly unlikely for a plane to crash. Even if all the engines fail an aeroplane can just glide for hundreds of miles if it's already at a substantial altitude.
Don't worry - It's not like 9/11 even happened.
And I'm afraid of going into 110-story buildings. /uncalledforjoke
I don't like flying because I always get airplane sickness
Don't look at me, I'm scared of both Planes AND Boats! :gonk:
You should be more scared of dying in a car than a plane. You're more likely to get killed in one than on a plane.
Have a clock. And yeah. I'm pretty good now. Not that scared but still scared.
Okay, this might be a bump, but I've found out we're going on Jamaican Airlines. I'm scared again :ohdear:
don't worry the terrorists don't have anymore skyscrapers to crash into
Okay, this might be a bump, but I've found out we're going on Jamacian Airlines. I'm scared again :ohdear:
I can't find a single crash on the record of this airline. Just do it. I'm not really the guy that goes flying a lot as well, I'm nervous before any flight I've taken. Take a good book with you, or a gameboy or whatever. Also drink enough.
