World War 3 should be called World War otherwise it wouldn't genuinely feel modern

It should follow Microsoft's example and be named World War One

*enables pvp mode*
*gets instantly killed by some asshole max level BUTTHOLEAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
World War 3 should be called World War otherwise it wouldn't genuinely feel modern
They should make it a reboot and call it "The World War"
yeah I typically avoid PvP in all mmos. It's even worse because a lot of them make you switch armor to play it, for some reason there's a PvP stat and a PvE stat and there's no sets with both. Gotta change your gear entirely to switch between the two gameplay modes in most games.
gaming keyboards and gaming mouses are unnecessary if the regular ones have the same function
gaming keyboards and gaming mouses are unnecessary if the regular ones have the same function
I agree on keyboards but plenty of gaming mice have additional buttons compared to regular ones. The vast majority of standard mice are simply two buttons plus a scroll wheel while a lot of gaming mice have at least a couple additional buttons. On top of that most gaming mice have the ability to bind all sorts of functions and such to those additional keys.
Though personally I find that stuff far more useful outside games than I do inside them. :v:

True this. I have a 'gaming' mouse (Roccat Kone XTD) and with it I can change my volume, skip and pause tracks, copy+paste and more. I genuinely miss it when I have to use a standard mouse.

I disagree with gaming mice. Most regular mice don't have buttons to change the mouse sensitivity, which can be really useful in shooters.
can't you just change sensitivity in game options or system settings though
or is there some pro-gaming life hack I haven't heard about changing it on the fly mid match/action
i just don't understand why gaming peripherals have to be so ugly. sure there's a few inoffensive looking ones but it seems like the majority are just RANDOM ANGLES! FAKE CARBON FIBER! UNNECESSARY LEDS! MTN DEW GREEN!

Don't be in denial. There is something wrong with you if you don't want F13.
The Venus Project is possible, but building it may never happen. Also our cultural differences will take hundreds of years to develop properly untill it's usable.

Having high sensitivity is great right up until you zoom in with a scope and the game doesn't acknowledge that, causing your aim to be spastically jerky. Most games don't include an option to configure zoomed and not zoomed sensitivity either.

That's what you call "a shit (or in very few cases, old. Deus Ex GOTY is a massive pita at modern resolutions) game." Most games may not include an option to configure sensitivities differently, but that's because most games reduce mouse sensitivity when scoped in by default.
I honestly don't see the appeal at all in mechanical keyboards.
gaming keyboards and gaming mouses are unnecessary if the regular ones have the same function
gaming keyboards are usually of really shit quality
cool you have a button to change volume, tracks, and other shit.
my 60% keyboard can do that too. What the fuck makes a gaming keyboard special?
I honestly don't see the appeal at all in mechanical keyboards.
they're typically of much higher quality than membrane keyboards and nicer to type on too. Easier to remove keys making them easier to clean.

I use an MMO mouse for shit like this and never really use it for gaming
its amazingly useful
I honestly don't see the appeal at all in mechanical keyboards.
aside from them being much higher quality than membrane keyboards, i just fucking love typing on them. the clickety clack is insanely satisfying.
that being said, most of the shit on /r/mechanicalkeyboards is hilariously stupid and unnecessary
actual reasons for liking mechanical keyboards
Whenever I ask someone on why they like them they just tell me "because they're better." I'm glad I got an actual explaination to why some people like them.
[editline]1st August 2016[/editline]
I still find the loud clicking irritating though.

fuck around with the mechanical keyboards next time you're at an electronics store, they'll probably have razers or something on display. The difference is hard to describe, yet immediately obvious to anyone who uses computers daily. It's like the difference between having a sensitive gas pedal, and a squishy gas pedal that feels slightly different every time you go to drive.

Planned economies are an exercise in managerial arrogance.

Conversely I like the clicking sound as long as I'm the one making it :v:

the clicking depends on the type of key switch you get really
some are clicky and some are quieter
mech keyboards last longer and if you have PBT plastic keycaps, it'll take forever to wear down. Compared to membrane, which degrades pretty quickly causing keys to feel greasy even if you clean them, the rubber domes wear down meaning the keys will type inconsistently, and they're usually on a much lower profile meaning they're much harder on the wrists to type on

My old friend has spent like 4 years becoming a mentor for that; it's a pretty massive idea. Dunno if it would ever be possible. Especially the idea for a teaching AI that they have
This is unpopular opinions thread right?

Finally I have a friend!

This thread is for unpopular opinions sir.
Yeah, not unpopular facts
Sony should really consider making a Vita emulator for the PlayStation 4. Given the Vita's... limited, selection of games, having them run on the PS4 via emulation would actually sell a lot more.
