Honestly if you get dogs from breeders you're a shit owner tbph.
Adopting dogs is far better, not only for the dog but for you, as you learn more about what it means to have a dog. They aren't a plaything, they're a member of your family.
All of the dogs that I've grown up with have been adopted in one way or another.
Buying a pet in general is quite poopy way to go.

Breeders are at least a million times better than pet shops or puppy farms

This is actual good life advice
I don't think it's a very good idea to take advice from a satirical character. That kind of makes you the exact person Yahtzee is making fun of.
Unless he's serious. Yahtzee is so cartoonishly cynical that there's no way he can't be satire.

As a way to raise dogs, maybe, but it's a better idea to adopt from the latter two. Dogs don't really belong in mills or in tiny enclosed areas.

I volunteer at an animal shelter and I have no idea why people go to puppy farms and similar places. Other than the obviously troubled dogs, the dogs I have interacted with are more loving, better companions, and often times a lot smarter/better behaved than the average breeder dog.
Fuck, just adopt all animals from a shelter, it's just the right thing to do.

Also to counter the pit bull opinion

I may be biased because i fucking adore all medium-large dogs, but Pitbulls are an incredibly loving, loyal, and protective breed, despite being bred and used for aggression.
I had an American Bulldog when I was younger. He kinda looked like this:

Only his ears stuck straight up. His name was Tank. Best damn dog we ever owned. My mom hated him though. He was a sweetheart but my mom's gross English bulldog just kept picking fights with him. Finally he bit back and solidly won the fight and we thought that would be the end of it but the English bulldog just kept fucking with him. Everyone else wanted to get rid of the English bulldog but my mom was adamant that Tank had to go. At least he went to a really nice family but they moved like a month later and took Tank with them.
Still the best dog we've ever owned. Even my mom eventually admitted it.
The best animations and story telling are those that have little to no dialogue.

It's one of the most consistently funny web comics around today but the "life is terrible" comics are fucking stupid, thank god Shen is moving away from them
Any examples? Personally, Sylvain Chomet's Triplets of Belleville is one of my all time favourite animated films. Would love to find more things of its caliber.
I was going to list Triplets of Belleville
What a beautiful movie

Agreed, personally, I get my pet shrimp and fish by kidnapping them from a vietnamese food store.
Also I gotta emphasize it because I don't really feel it has been enough. FUCK PUPPY FARMS. Look into them, they're fucking horrid and make me avoid places like petsmart ( I think they may have improved though, don't take this example too seriously ) that sell pets from those. And the sad part is, some "breeders" will actually just be frontends of puppy farms that attempt to trick customers. Shelters too can do this, no matter who you get a big pet from you should vet (heh) them. I don't think buying from reputable breeders is immoral though, depending on the type of pet.

Yeah we were tricked buying one dog. The staff even straight up lied to us when we asked them directly about it. Despicable.
Also buying from a breeder isn't immoral but you're indirectly supporting the pet overpopulation problem by doing it.

I would say it's irresponsible more than anything.
I'd imagine the only time you should get a dog from a breeder is if you have certain requirements, like if you need a guard or a police dog.

IMO they're not necessarily better but it does require much more elegance to pull off a story without words

But you're supporting their business if you buy from them?
But you're supporting their business if you buy from them?
That's true. I was thinking more about the dog I used to have. She was actually part of a litter we rescued from a puppy mill, we took them in, didn't pay for them.
I don't know why I said that. That's dumber the more I look at.
What I meant was people ahould work to shut down mills and rescue the dogs.
Net neutrality needs a TF2 promo.
As ridiculous as this sounds, it seems as if it's slowly becoming a thing of the past because most people care more about virtual cosmetics in a video game than they do about internet privacy and all that stuff. I imagine such a promo would give digital rights groups like Fight for the Future a lot more leverage.
Breeders are at least a million times better than pet shops or puppy farms
Depends a lot on the breeder. Most of the rejects from anything that isn't the cleanest of the clean breeders are the deformed and diseased dogs that end up in shops.
Even for a basic dog, you can easily expect to pay upwards of 1500-2000 dollars in the states for a dog from a reputable breeder. Anyone selling dogs for under a grand is more likely than not a shitty breeder pumping animals out as fast as they can. Good breeders won't sell dogs until they are older to ensure proper socialization, and a minimum level of training. The costs add up in a hurry.
What pisses me off, and this is a very unpopular opinion, is no kill shelters. They frequently try to pass off broken dogs onto unsuspecting owners, up to and including forging records to hide debilitating physical conditions, or really bad mental conditions. They aren't any more moral than a kill shelter. They sure pretend to be, but they are quite often far worse. Some of the worms I've seen in puppies is positively fucking disgusting, and our vet has dozens of horror stories about dogs with kidney/liver/heart conditions getting passed off. I don't pretend to love kill shelters, but at least a kill shelter isn't going to try and pass off a dog with a fractured femur as "just has a harmless birth defect" then try to play games by harassing you by repeatedly calling animal control on you when you file an interstate fraud complaint to try and scare you into backing off from suing them for the cost of corrective surgery.

Just have it on a different channel.
Like, a "Hey kiddos dont watch this!" channel

If parents don't like it, they can deal with it themselves by having a filter that requires a PIN/password to temporarily remove. Hell, with every TV being a smarttv now, it'd be dead simple to have this. They could even have it be unlocked by using only your phone to stop kids from shouldersurfing/guessing.
Unpopular opinion: "Smart" TVs are a retarded gimmick and 9 times out of 10 they're finnicky bullshit
That's actually unpopular? I thought anyone with half a brain knew Smart TV's were idiotic.

You'd be surprised

Don't even need that, Digital TV has support for separate audio tracks. I know foreign countries when showing a film often will broadcast the original language track alongside the dub.
I think the thing that bothers me most about smart TVs is the cost and the fact that they're the norm. My currrent TV is busted to a degree, but the only TVs available are Smart ones which are pricey as hell.
Star Wars 1313 didn't really ever look that good
