Sometimes I remember names such as funnystarrunner since that's a pretty easy to remember name.

Why do most people say "half-past-six" or "quarter-to-two" especially English people. So much necessary words, why can't they say "Six thirty" or "one fourty five", its much easier, more consistent since every single word is a number and much more direct. You get 6:30 instead of going "Ok half past six > half is 0.5 > 0.5*60=30 > 30mns + 6 > OH 6:30 YAY"

The French say "six hours and a half" and "five hours minus quarter" so it doesn't seem to be specific to the English.

man in the couple of months that I've been using Discord I've seen more rude people in the numerous group chats that I attempt to participate in than in my 3+ years of using Skype to talk to people. It's probably just me but I'm probably gonna always prefer Skype because the group chat shit just doesn't work, one on one conversation will always be better in my book.

Plus you can just make your own server and add as many friends as you want in there. Oh and those one-on-one calls can be turned into group calls with up to 10 people if you prefer that over making your own server. Obviously you don't know what you're going to get if you just hop into a random group chat full of strangers. People are dicks no matter what you use or where you go. Skype only has two redeeming factors over Discord: video calls and a more professional setting. Though, apparently Discord is going to implement video calls in a future update, so I guess that will just be one redeeming factor.

I try to be outgoing and get to know people that I meet on Discord but it results in nothing 90% of the time. I guess I can see the appeal of it for gaming groups and stuff but otherwise I prefer Skype.

I mean yeah if your friends don't really play games then Discord would be a bit off for them. Skype is just so clunky a bloated. I dread having to open it.

I guess if you really like minion gif emotes, then go for it. I see no reason to use it when Discord is around. Also, the one on one chat point wasn't to say that it has that feature over Skype.
