I keep my shortcuts on the right side of my desktop.
Nickelback isn't even that bad.
Morrowind is the most overrated TES game

I didn't even know taskbars could go on the sides.
More you know.

On a bar that's not a task bar. With the freed up space I usually keep track of the weather, currently playing music, and things like CPU usage.

Virtual desktops that I switch between with hotkeys, in combination with having two screens.
so for example I'll have web browser crap on desktop 1, media (music, video) on desktop 2, chats on desktop 3, and so on. And then I'll just switch them around as I need them. Each "desktop" is independent of the screens. Clicking sucks.
And I also tile, and that basically just means programs don't get minimized, everything shows at once and is organized by a script and me.
It's weird to get used to but it winds up great
Here's a real unpopular one, judging from the kind of shit flinging I see on a daily basis:
I dislike certain things but do not feel the need to call other people out for liking said things to exert my superiority.
I'm not 100% sure if this is unpopular or not. But calling suicide selfish is just stupid. I guess technically it is, but what's your point?

It's fun banter but man, if people are happy with what they have no need to harass them for it

paid political advertisements ought to be banned in America, along with all forms of political advertising on radio and television (with maybe some exceptions shortly before elections)
Marvel movies are pretty boring and predictable
Aren't those all comic book movies? I don't read comic books, but I've seen a solid seven or eight comic book films and they are generally just predictable by design. You know the joker is gonna be the bad guy, you know the general flow of the story (since they typically follow similar patterns) etc, etc.
Not that this means they are bad, but I feel as though originality isn't really their strong suit.
I haven't watched a superhero movie in a looong time so take my opinion with a grain of salt:
I don't get those movies' obsession with origin stories. Like is it so hard to just make a film about an already established character, with maybe some quick references to their past made through dialogue here and there, rather than to spend the first half hour retelling their origin story for the hundredth time?
I watched the movie because of that line:doghidden:
Ant-Man was the only recent comicbook film I've liked.
I haven't seen GotG or Deadpool tho

From what I know of the UK system it sounds very nice. No political advertisements on TV, but there are pre-allotted times on TV for debates and such. I wouldn't mind that.
I never really liked the classic multiplayer shooters like Quake and Unreal. I don't think they're bad, I just don't find them that fun to be honest. Especially the ones that are obnoxious about it and are always like, "This is nothing like Gaylo and Cock of Dookie!"
Marvel movies are pretty boring and predictable, and I don't know why people get so offended when I say that.
DC just happens to be worse.
The Marvel movies (more recently at least) are safe movies with the same, predictable formula. With enough safe action to be entertaining and enough exposition to get the basic plot across without boring the audience with details. DC movies are... something else. I think a LOT of this can be to blame on Zack Snyder, since he's too busy trying to capture special moment after special moment in his comic movies, it's like all he ever wants to do is make each individual scene as epic and cinematic as possible. He just happily ditches the heart and substance of his material in the background to collect dust.
At least Chris Nolan's Batman trilogy was good, even if The Dark Knight Rises wasn't all that good.

Its interesting how the tides have shifted on perception of CoD and Halo. Back in the day they were "babbies first fps" and were shitted on constantly for being everything wrong with gaming. Nowadays Halo is universally revered (I do it too, I think Halo 1-3 are masterpieces and one of the best trilogies in games) and even Cods up to Mw2 are thought of in a positive light. Never thought Id see the day where people reminisce about how good Mw2 was considering the perception of it in its heydey. Just goes to show how much notalgia and/or recency bias (positive or negative) impacts our perceptions of games.
Microsoft should actually try to appeal to the Japanese market with the Hololens. Augmented reality seems to have greater potential for waifu sims than virtual reality.

On that note, I think people overstate how bad The Dark Knight Rises is. It has its flaws, but it's still a more entertaining movie than Batman Begins.

I really could not disagree more. Batman Begins has excellent pacing, and slowly builds up and up. It's an extremely well done origin story that shows character growth and depth. It clearly defines who and what Batman/Wane is, and what his relationship to the world is. Dark knight Rises is a pile of bad writing, explosions, and nonsensical plot twists. It's like it's trying to be a parody of itself.
It's still decent, but batman begins is on an entirely different level, and the dark knight with heath ledger's joker is incredible.

Milo Yiannipolous is a disgraced weirdo who largely gets by on the merit of his accent and his "humour" which idiots have mistaken for intelligence.
when milo isn't parroting what other, more intelligent people have said, he's spouting ignorant, irrational and sometimes just outright bigoted nonsense. fuck him, i'm glad he's getting forgotten.

Deadpool was good, better then antman imo
Deadpool was good, better then antman imo
I agree, and I liked Ant-Man (could've been Paul Rudd's humor that saved it for me, and the ending actually did feel at least a bit suspenseful). Deadpool is one of the best comic book movies I've seen since The Dark Knight (not that they're comparable in the same way, but they really are good for what they are.) I thought Guardians of the Galaxy was nice, but it fell right into that safe comic adaptation trap that Marvel's set up for their MCU. I've got a gut feeling that every other MCU film that'll be coming out in the next 5+ years will follow the same pattern, and the movies are just gonna end up like saturday morning cartoons. Extremely expensive, flashy, boring saturday morning cartoons.
Somehow, i have to wonder if DC has more potential than Marvel in terms of movies, seeing that WB has the movie rights for the entirety of the DC universe while Disney licensed out chunks of their respective comic book universe to Sony and 20th Century Fox.
I hate the phrase "adulting." The fact that 'regularly accomplishing basic tasks' has its own cute self-deprecating verb is cringe-worthy.
"What have you been up to lately?"
"Oh, you know, cooking food and driving a car to my job. Adulting, right? tee hee!"
Bleugh.
adulting like a boss
