hey! it used to be good.
It really weirds me out that people still play Payday 2 after it got a game mechanics/meta downgrade. It wasn't even a minor downgrade, Overkill basically neutered the game of all its fun and fairness.
The fact that they're totally idiotic shows how unpopular they are. Or do we require a thread for popular opinions?
There's a difference between an opinion being unpopular and an opinion being flat out stupid, lol. Basically every single time I see you post here you show a complete lack of understanding about what you're even talking about in the first place. That's not unpopular, that's just ignorance.
I have to wonder if comic book games would work better if the license holder was to work on a license holder to developer basis, rather than a license holder to publisher to developer basis (i.e: The Darkness 2's ending and the lack of Darkness 3 announcement as of now).
Ppl are hooked on that game like junkies with abusive boyfriends
This is accurate. I still play the game for some reason and it's a painful experience that makes me question my sanity. :v:

A bit off-topic, what exactly happen that got Payday 2 so bad now? I recently bought, played around with some of the solo campaigns and got kicked from a multiplayer robbery and haven't played it in a while. Should I keep going?

Immoral dlc and micro transactions mostly
I don't give a single shit about any of this YouTube drama.

What is going now? Did someone kill someone while doing pranks or?

some guy got arrested for trying to pull a bomb scare prank, the team of troublemakers were shocked and reacted with 'its just a prank bro' when they heard the news.

i hate to be the one saying "think of the children," but what irritates me most about these pranksters is they never even hint at the legality of this stuff and even fake the results of it because they know they'd get their asses beat or thrown in prison if they did it for real. the dude who actually did that bomb scare "prank" was like 15 years old and probably has a very severe-looking criminal record now, and it just got me thinking if extremely dumb people of a similar age could be emulating the bigger pranksters, taking videos on their phone, expecting things to work out fine when really it could stop them holding a job for the next like twenty years if they get charged.
i mean you'll always have idiots doing this stuff but at least no one's under the illusion that they won't go down for it you know? just seems like for such a potentially life-ruining thing there shouldn't be that kind of misinformation going around.

I couldn't give less of a fuck about all the retarded youtube "drama" that H3H3 decided to throw himself full-force into and I hope he decides to make actual content again soon instead of acting like he's the youtube police
A Bethesda-funded Quake game should return to the dark fantasy level designs of Quake 1.
I get that there has been a lot of disagreements within id Software regarding Quake's aesthetic, though there's something satisfying about killing eldritch beings with high explosive ordnance.
Despite some stupid reasons to not get into the Souls Series [sp]and being a brony[/sp], Joshscorcher is an underrated Youtuber, who doesn't succumb to the usual popular Youtuber tropes. He puts out some decent content from song covers, countdowns, to rants.

He should of talked to Leafy in private instead of making a video about it right away. Was he expecting anything but drama to happen?

Every video he's trying harder and harder to be the Nostalgia Critic and each time it gets a little bit worse. I know that's his idol and all but a lot of his skits and recurring jokes just scream NC.
Also I encountered him on a TF2 server once and it was one of the most annoying experiences of my 3k hours of TF2. His and part of his fanbase just camped mid on this CTF map and my team wasn't able to make it past that point without getting rushed.
I do have one of his associates Fawful's Minion added on Steam and while his video style is... less that stellar... he makes an amazing teammate.

I don't just mean the latest thing with Leafy and some other guy, I mean all this stuff too:

Where it's basically just him parroting the popular opinion of "these guys suck" for a few minutes, then people act like he's some big name making grand statements. I didn't start watching him to hear about this one turd on the internet for months because Ethan decided to take up arms as the Defender of The Internet
I hate Gandhi.
Being a bad person doesn't mean everything you do is bad, despite some of his good quotes some of his opinions were absolute dogshit.
Rights are not "natural". They are what society mutually agrees upon is acceptable pursuits of what we should be allowed to do that we decide do no damage to other people. Freedom is not something we need to strive to 100% of the time when someone's freedom gets in the way of another person's freedom or ability to function in society. Anti-discrimination laws are a good example of this.

Those examples in particular actually directly affected him though and had to do with the channel. The only time it wasn't, as far as I'm aware, is the most recent incident with leafy.
I don't like it when things such as games or something similar are named after th creator; for example, Sid Meier's Civilization, or Tom Clancy's The Division. It just seems egoistical as hell.

Tom Clancy is dead lol, it's just a brand thing. And he didn't make video games, he's just a military fiction writer.

Sid Meier was requested by his publisher to put his name on the box, he didn't want to

Well...at least he doesn't do clip less reviews or god-awful 5 minute long sketches before actual content. Scorcher just does straight-up countdown and editorial videos NOT tied to IGN, WatchMojo.com or other big gaming sites, which is fine with me. Then again NC's got some good editorials and some of the new reviews are good.

I used to like watching him but eh... he just got a bit boring around the time that he left the military. I like that he doesn't swear just to swear and anybody who plays primarily support has my back, because trust me, it's a hellish existence.
Also here's one opinion, that I think is unpopular: buying phones on contract is DUUUUMB. Save the problems and just get an around or sub $200 phone and get a decent carrier if your area is supported by them, like t-mobile or sprint.

Phones are nearly a requirement in the world today, and a lot of jobs or universities require you to use apps that only work on higher end phones. Not everyone can afford the lump sum they cost, so they get contracts. Same reason people rent instead of buying a house, it's not dumb.
$200 isn't going to get you a very good phone, even from an import brand...
I would say the minimum you need to spend to get any sort of quality is around $350-$400. That's a lot more than what many people can afford. I know it was more than what I could afford when I got my phone.
My phone cost me $150 and it does everything I need it to.
I use a shitty prepaid phone
it cost $25 five years ago and service is $5/month
being unable to install apps has reduced my quality of life by exactly 0% and has not impacted my career. I'm already sitting at a computer for 8-14 hours a day and the idea of literally always having one with me is fucking gross
Sid Meier was requested by his publisher to put his name on the box, he didn't want to
Isn't the story that Robin Williams told him to do it while having a drink with Sid and his publisher?
