United States represent. Patriotism is everywhere here and it's a 50/50 chance whether it's fun or annoying.
Even bigger unpopular opinion incoming. Something I really don't get either is why left-wing parties in some Western European countries seem to absolutely fucking hate everything about their own countries and culture. Egregious examples are left-wing parties in Sweden and Germany, who openly sprout shit like that their countries would be better without their native population and culture. Sweden being an especially bad offender in the way that some of said leftist politicians say that Sweden has no culture at all, and that they would be better of if they would be more like an African country. Why the fuck are they wanting to run said country then? Or why the fuck do people even vote for them in that case? If they want to be that tolerant, why don't they move to Zimbabwe or Saudi Arabia themselves then? Don't they show all the tolerance those left-wing parties in Germany and Sweden want? And to be honest, I don't like the current EU's definition of ''diversity'' either. In their eyes, ''diversity'' means importing millions of Middle Eastern and North African folks. Despite the fact that all through West Europa, it has already shown for decades that they are really, really bad at assimilating compared to other immigrants, because their values are barely compatible with the Western world (especially left-wing/liberal values, go figure), which leads in enough of them pretty much refusing to assimilate. Even when they got the same chances, or even more chances than other immigrants, they still have a significant part completely failing to assimilate, with all the problems that brings. It is not a good sign that some are here for three generations now, and are actually less assimilated than the first generation. And in typical leftist fashion, those left-wing parties will never look at that issue. Whoever tries to make that point, is automatically a racist in their book. So, they ignore it, the issue keeps growing, and you'll end up with literal no-go shitholes in Europe like Molenbeek. A literal terrorist breeding ground right under the nose of the EU, where Europe's most wanted terrorists can manage to hide out for FOUR WHOLE MONTHS. IN THE SAME CITY AS THE EU HEADQUARTERS. That's how fucking bad it is getting. If you told this to anyone back in 1990, they would have thought that you were taking crazy pills. Issues like that keep piling up and piling up, and yet the top brass in the EU thinks that importing a few million more of the same people will magically fix this shit. Everyone with a lick of common sense can see that it isn't going to fucking work. Yet they insist in choosing for us, despite not even getting elected by the European people themselves! And then they complain when people in Europe become more right-wing, anti-EU and more nationalistic. It isn't like we are getting an absolutely terrible deal all around with the choices the EU has made lately. Those politicians forgot that they should rule for the people, and not over the people. That isn't even getting started in how the politicians pushing for this mass immigration do everything they can to ensure those immigrant centers are as far away as possible from their homes as possible. And then they complain and go 'how dare they' when towns of a population of 10000, which are mostly native Dutchies, with a ''us knows us best'' countryside mentality go on a riot, when their town council tries their hardest to push a 3000-man immigrant center on them, despite the politicians knowing damn well that assimilation like that just doesn't goddamn work. No, we don't want our cultures to be eroded. Despite all the fucking bullshit the EU sprouts that we should do away with Europe's national cultures and histories. Literally the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard. I ain't even really natively European myself (Grandparents were from Indonesia, fled in the 50's after all the shit hit the fan there), yet politicians sprouting this bullshit make me sick to my core. Why should we ever do away with Europe's cultures and histories as they are? Aren't those cultures and histories of the European countries not diverse enough somehow for those politicians? Why should we throw that all away, why should we throw millennia of history and culture away, just so some politicians can feel better about themselves in their ''holier than thou'' wankfest? It's an absolute disgrace. tl;dr Why would anyone want to lead a country while hating said country and culture? Yes I'm mad, but damn, it feels good to vent.
Diversity is a good thing, but it should happen naturally. Both forced diversity and forced homogeneity are bad things for a society in my opinion.
United States represent. Patriotism is everywhere here and it's a 50/50 chance whether it's fun or annoying.
There are aspects that are cool, but those aspects come from eccentricity, the landscapes, and not the government. If we're talking strictly about the country, a trip through Colorado is beautiful - I love the American land. But the American government sucks. Most governments suck. I am not patriotic for that. I'm not patriotic for a lot of the people that are here either.
Fallout 4 sucked. [editline]15th April 2016[/editline] I've never tuned out and completely lost interest in a game as fast as I did with Fallout 4.
I'm a massive fallout nerd, I love all the games, have a shit ton of merch like shirts and bobbleheads, etc. but quite frankly, 4 sucks ass and is boring Reasons for my strong dislike of the game: Feels like there are more radiant quests than actual story and side missions Loot system is fucking awful, no I don't want to find pipe pistols at level 40 proper bullet sponge enemies like mirelurks The settlement and weapon mod system are massive pains in the ass and not worth the time you spend into them; settlement system is really half-assed with: a)how limited you are with where you can place stuff b)how glitchly it is, the fact that something being there in a settlement will actually take it's happiness down c) the wasteland workshop DLC could've been in the fucking game in the first place, same with the automatron shit also, for weapon mods, the fact that you need adhesive for literally everything under the sun gimps it
The most bizarre thing about Fallout 4 to me is that it's not even really a good Bethesda game at its core. Bethesda games should be about exploring a world and finding amazing things, and then using some of those things to kill things to loot more amazing things. That's something Fallout 3 and Skyrim did well. But the retarded RNG-based Legendary weapon system takes all the magic out of loot, radiant quests turn 'killing things' into farming, and exploration is gimped by sheer lack of interesting content. There's a ton of potentially cool locations in Fallout 4 that just have nothing interesting in them and I found my drive to explore weakening significantly with large chunks of the map completely unexplored, just because it built up the expectation that wherever I go, there's not going to be something interesting to do or see or read.
'writings on the wall' is the best bond theme from the craig movies
'writings on the wall' is the best bond theme from the craig movies
I'm tied between this one and You Know My Name.
Justin Beiber isn't THAT bad of a singer. Hes a shitty person but his songs are not as bad as people make out. I'm not a fan of his music myself.
Sorry is amazing.
When did the EU say this Also are you going to keep using the left as your evil bogeyman that can only do wrong, even though a lot of politicians who are for refugees, like Angela Merkel (who you constantly bring up) aren't even left wing politicians also for the 100th time, it's Europe, not Europa
If you use the word "Europa" to complain about migrants and you're speaking english, it automatically raises red flags for me.
If you use the word "Europa" to complain about migrants and you're speaking english, it automatically raises red flags for me.
Clearly should put imigrants on space ship and then ship them to Europa.
If you use the word "Europa" to complain about migrants and you're speaking english, it automatically raises red flags for me.
That he continues to use it even though people have constantly mocked him and pointed that it's 'Europe' in English does worry me slightly
If you use the word "Europa" to complain about migrants and you're speaking english, it automatically raises red flags for me.
Why though? If English is their second language, and they live in Europe, it's bound to happen as in most of the languages over here it's Europa.
Why though? If English is their second language, and they live in Europe, it's bound to happen as in most of the languages over here it's Europa.
Because so many people who speak fluent english and yet use Europa when it comes to discussions on immigration, for some strange coincidental reason, tend to be really creepy nationalists.
Why though? If English is their second language, and they live in Europe, it's bound to happen as in most of the languages over here it's Europa.
it's not a slip of the tongue
Why though? If English is their second language, and they live in Europe, it's bound to happen as in most of the languages over here it's Europa.
In Dutch Europe is Europa as well, but it's definitely not a mistake, people have told him thousands of times that it's 'Europe' in English
Sorry is amazing.
Excuse the fist-shaking words I'm about to say, but they sound like generic factory pop garbage, and for some reason my factory pop garbage friends can't handle it. I think it comes down to his character and his starting music (like "Baby") that made it seem intolerable. It's pretty much what would happen if Willow Smith tried to continue in music.
Because so many people who speak fluent english and yet use Europa when it comes to discussions on immigration, for some strange coincidental reason, tend to be really creepy nationalists.
I've met Danish nationalists whose English was unsurprisingly bad, and they relied heavily on spellcheck
it's not a slip of the tongue
Not really what I said. He might have heard the word and thought that was how it was supposed to be spelled, especially since spellcheck doesn't correct it. However, if this
In Dutch Europe is Europa as well, but it's definitely not a mistake, people have told him thousands of times that it's 'Europe' in English
is the case there isn't really any excuse.
I like other cultures. My girlfriend's from lithuania, She's very conservative and has particular dislike for black people. Maybe it's just black people, because she's never said anything alarming about asians or arabs. Black people are apparently stupider than white people, despite us whites being fucking retarded at times and the other part about how africa had civilisation and empires before european colonialism. She's studdying physics at one of the top universities of England. One time she told me of the time where a post-grad black tried to help her out, and how stupid he was. He's a fucking post grad at one of the best universities of the country. This is silly shit. Racism is dumb. Stupidly, stupidly dumb. /Otherwise she's a great girl. And since what I wrote up there seemed like it'd be reasonable and popular and thus unfitting for this thread; I think closet racists are fine, so long as they stay in the closet. That way the next generation won't be listening to their bullshit. You don't need to villainize them. If they don't understand objective facts, then just make sure you get to their children before they do.
If you use the word "Europa" to complain about migrants and you're speaking english, it automatically raises red flags for me.
but i hate it when migrants from europe fuck up my Europa Universalis game when i'm one of the amerindian tribes what gives
Look, if people are drinking coffee to temporarily ail their problem not feeling full of energy, that's fine, but it should not be a permanent solution. So many people out there rely on coffee and often talk about how it's the only thing that keeps it going, but it's really hard to differentiate when it's a mere joke or an entire lifestyle. I have a friend that just picked up a entire pack of caffeine pills to stay awake, which makes me wonder: 1.) Are people getting enough sleep? 2.) Do people who don't get enough sleep try to fix the problem with caffiene? 3.) Do they see caffeine as easier than a good night's rest? And that's the thing - people who are sleep deprived don't realize they are sleep deprived. People who are sleep deprived sometimes don't even realize that they are terrible sleepers. How could such a condition exist where I suck at sleeping? And that's concerning for me. Coffee should be drank as an emergency one-time only means to wake up, because reliance on caffeine is very telling of a potential sleep dilemma.
??? there's nothing wrong with drinking coffee to wake up. Habitual caffeine consumption is proven to have chronic health benefits, which would not be the case if it was damaging to the sleep cycle. plus it gives you amazing poops
I'm drinking coffee to wake up now. Coffee ain't the problem. Instead, drinking coffee all the time to make up for bad sleep is the problem. I know people that do this, and I think there's people that aren't even aware they do it. There's people that think they need coffee. When someone says they need something like that, I look at it as a weird addiction that shouldn't exist.

I hate this shit: basically, bottom-tier popular science that sells itself as world-changing with massive typography that emphasizes keywords so facebook users can consume content without needing to stop, think, or turn on the volume. 500,000 people see the video and then the technology in question is never heard from ever again. I talked to an electrical engineer friend of mine and he honestly thought it was a joke at first because of how fucking stupid it actually was.
about 99% of the population barely has a clue about what science and technology even is the remaining 1% consists of people who spend all day in a lab looking down a microscope identifying aphids by the shape of their penis, or those who spend years inventing a new type of fuel hose for a bus note: people who say "dumb creationists are disagreeing with evolution let's post memes to show how wrong they are" are almost always people who actually don't understand evolution themselves like maybe they get the basic core idea, but they don't take it to where it can go and they disagree with a lot of the conclusions that ultimately can be derived from the theory

Granted I was in the good group and liked the subject, but I've got a good understanding of what's probably bullshit and what's probably not. That said, We really need to nip all that psuedo-science/clickbait bullshit that's shared. The only use it has is showing which members of humanity are stupid or thinking really wishfully, and that's really only useful if you're planning a cull.
