Unpopular Opinions V6 You know maybe fascism wasn't all that it was cracked up to be

Animation, if anything, is WAY better off than it was 10 years ago. I really dislike what I can only assume is an uninformed hatred of modern animation reinforced by rose-tinted nostalgia for old cartoons because 'it all looks the same' when it very much doesn't.
a lot of popular cartoons do look somewhat similar at the moment but its a wonderful art style so im not complaining
besides, stuff like Gravity Falls and Over The Garden Wall have some of the highest quality animation i've ever seen outside of Disney/Pixar/Ghibli

BitFenix should continue with audio hardware development. The Flo was a pretty good start for their first headset, even when considering the physical flaws of the design.
Having re-installed GTA 4 EFLC, if you honestly think GTA 4 had better vehicle handling than 5, you are fucking delusional.

Rockstar should just throw realism out the window with their vehicle physics, and really only take game balance into consideration when designing GTA6's vehicles (even if it means going back to the PS2 era vehicle physics of GTA3). As GTA4 and 5's vehicle physics shows, realism doesn't necessarily make for a better game.

This is incredibly true. .
. . and for my unpopular opinion I have to say that I like GTA4 more than 5.
In fact #3 is my favorite.
5s car physics are a p good blend of arcade and realism, its certainly not saints row 2 but also not boatwheelz 4
4 had pretty shitty feeling driving. 5 is just right imo. I loved the driving in saints row but it really is only appropriate for that series. Actually just the gameplay in general is pretty perfect for GTA's niche.
Y'all, Watch_Dogs driving was the worst of every driving.
I think modern sci-fi designs in movies and video-games are based too heavily on high-tech, sleek and epured designs to the point where it doesn't have an underlying soul anymore. More design centered around low-tech, greebles and angular shapes like in the original Star Wars trilogy would be a breath of fresh air.
I personally found The Witcher 3 as a game boring, I don't know why though, maybe its gameplay just didn't "click" for me, I liked the card game it had though.

To be honest, gameplay itself was never the main appeal for me. What made the game so amazing is the fact that I actually cared about the world and characters, which has never happened in a Western-RPG for me. Plus, the quests are 100x better than practically every other RPG on the market.
the combat is a beautiful dance once you've got it down pat (especially on the two harder difficulties) and is really good and fun and difficult
Its really hard to beat saints row 2 on a mouse and keyboard, that shit was nearly unplayable
Not beat as in finish the game, but the driving is easily the worst of any open world game in recent memory
Not as hard as driving in Watch_Dogs and escape. I had difficulties with a controller as well and many times I raged because I failed.
All because the scripting for vehicles wasn't that good, and it was like driving a boat.
FTL is not a good game for the amount of praise it receives.
Fuckin' hated that game. It's fun and challenging when it doesn't just outright ruin your game. But unfortunately it does that extensively. Whether or not your game is ruined is just a total dice-roll whenever you click to warp somewhere. Most of those bad random-events are total dickmove situations you can't possibly get out of - or if you DO manage to live it will just be by a hair.
There is a difference between being hard and challenging and just being a unfair ass, and FTL is 100% the latter.
it's not meant to be fair, the fun in roguelikes is less about sticking with one character for a long journey to the final confrontation, and more about how far you can get in each run
not that you're supposed to go "oh i guess NOW i find it fun", but hey, different strokes for different folks
On the topic of roguelikes, I didn't really like Rogue Legacy. I thought I'd love it since I like roguelikes, platformers, and RPGs, but after 10 hours or so it became really boring to just grind in the castle to get enough coins to level up a skill that will make the next bullet hell boss slightly easier. The genealogy gimmick is pretty shallow too.

I rather it be on the same level of fairness throughout the run. I can decimate sectors 1 through 6 but somehow on the 7th or 8th, I get my ass kicked.
FTL was my second Roguelike (First was Liberal Crime Squad, but that was surprisingly generous with failures and I thought it was pretty damn balanced.)
You'd have to be a complete moron to romanticize New York gangsters. Criminals are garbage regardless of how they're dressed or how many movies get made about them.

new york gangsters are neckbeard bait
trench coats, fedoras, money, women, american made guns.
I wonder if nerds in 2050 will romanticize the thug lyfe

I honestly never had that problem. Once you have your priorities in order (and know how to make use of the pause button) you shouldn't be able to go from pristine to completely destroyed in the span of a single sector. FTL really isn't Dark Souls level of unforgiving.
