Shout edgy, and you silence the opposition which ends the argument allowing you to claim victory!
Whenever someone says "edgy", I read "I have no argument and don't like that you are being contrarian". Yeah, there's some people that are assholes but that's irrelevant to being edgy or being contrarian - just call them an asshole and move on.
I mean there's a difference between not liking an establishment of your choice and blaming a six year old for accidentally being shot in the face, or whatever that banned post was a while back.

Oh man, I remember that guy. A father was being evicted or something, and decided to fight back and his terrified daughter hid behind him and got shot. And then that lovely poster blamed her. he got like 5 permabans.
The way I see it, if someone just starts throwing edgy/racist/sexist/sjw/cuck/etc. at you then you should just give up since they most likely aren't there to enjoy a discussion with you.
Literally everything is natural. The difference between man-made or man-influenced and natural is an illusion because of some repressed Sorites complex that humans hold. Everything that ever has been or ever will be is part of nature, so natural selection is inescapable.
It's not about it being natural or not, it's about there not being any selection involved. This applies most noticeably in industrialised 1st world countries.
We as humans don't have natural selection anymore because natural selection is just a step away from imperialism and eugenics which are big no nos.
It's not about it being natural or not, it's about there not being any selection involved. This applies most noticeably in industrialised 1st world countries.
sure there is. some people have children and some do not. child-having qualities are selected for.
We surpassed Natural Selection with technology, may it be houses to keep us safe, the eradication of predators, the concept of medicine, and with our morals. I'm not arguing for eugenics, but we have saved a ton of people who might have been killed by natural selection if not for our inventions or our morals.
Natural selection isn't just about being able to survive, it's also about being able to reproduce.

Technology and social norms are the direct result of humans' natural intelligence. Countless species build what can be described as a 'house'. Countless species have defenses (either biologically or technologically) against predators. Humans' concept of medicine is just a more complex version of animals; dogs will naturally eat grass when they're feeling nauseous and there's loads more examples of practices out there like this. Monkeys/apes, otters, and corvids use tools because they're naturally smart, the latter of which literally expresses a culture with said tools. Ants and elephants (among many species) express altruism and will put their own life on the line to save another, it's not exclusively a human trait. Morals, in the end, are just a form of reasoning and that's a natural human trait that comes with our higher form of intelligence. Our higher form of intelligence is not artificial, we naturally develop it as we grow up from infancy. It's in our DNA. Anything that's created or influenced as a result of our DNA is by definition a product of nature.
And just to be sure, The Sorites Paradox:
Supposed you have a heap of sand and you remove one grain, is it still a heap of sand?
What happened if you repeated the process until the heap was only a few cm tall? Is it still a heap?
At what point would it no longer be a heap and why?
Take that metaphorically and apply it to concepts like technology, culture, intelligence, and behavior. Animals' 'heaps' are just smaller than ours, it's all sand in the end.
People who reply to criticism with "you are just jealous" are the worst.
It's such a fucking brain dead response it just makes me cringe.

it's almost as bad as "I'd like to see you do better"
People put too much focus on what they think someone deserves, and not enough on what someone needs, and that's terrible.
I kinda miss hardware & software stores.
Piracy is stealing.
-wrong thread-
Piracy is stealing.
In a broader sense, you could definitely say that, but there's good reason to make the distinction
When someone physically steals something, it's gone. That's money invested you're not getting back. But when you pirate something, the only thing gone is a copy, because there's no guarantee you were going to buy it in the first place. Except that companies, and sometimes content creators themselves, have constantly used the excuse that one pirated copy = one lost sale to focus more on adopting measures to fuck over pirates (and, in the process, fucking over legit customers more than anyone) than on improving their services
Piracy is more akin to counterfeiting than stealing. It's like buying a bootleg DVD or a knockoff shirt or whatever, it might result in some lost sales but that doesn't make it theft.
Life should not be viewed in terms of quantity but quality.
Of cars and car culture... I think that cars with really thin strips of rubber for tyres that are running on huge wheels, and cars which have like a millimetre of ground clearance, just look completely stupid.
The factory wheel and tyre looks so much better than the aftermarket wheel and tyre here:

As for lowered cars, here's a before and after, with the after also having stupid wheels and tyres:

I would probably call that last image a great example of what's wrong with car culture today.

I don't want The Punisher to have its own independent netflix series.
I mean, don't get me wrong, Jon Bernthal was far and away the best part of Daredevil S2, but that was because (aside from his incredible acting) the character of the punisher works best as a compliment to Daredevil. Their interactions on the roof and in the graveyard were the highlights of the series. I feel like putting that in a protagonist role is going to kind of ruin it

I want to hate it but I can't
Stance looks incredibly fucking stupid and shouldn't be done to any car unless for a very specific and well-rounded reason.
My favorite thing about low-riders is when they go over speedbumps and get severely damaged cause the idiot thought a low-rider was a good idea. Absolute waste of money
low riders are awesome if they have hydraulics though
(and, in the process, fucking over legit customers more than anyone)
I actually had this happen fairly recently. Took me 4-5 days to actually get a game I bought working because the required drm simply failed to install constantly. Meanwhile I know someone who pirated the game and she has had literally zero issues with it. Sure looks like the drm did its job there preventing the pirated from playing. And in the process they basically lost themselves a customer. I won't purchase another game from that company unless I'm certain it's drm free.
And ironically, in this situation, piracy is what gained them my sales in the first place while it was their fight against piracy that lost them future sales. And this is far from the first time that a developer has gained sales through piracy with me too. In more than one case (La-Mulana and Space Pirates and Zombies in particular) it resulted in me even pre-ordering the next game in the series. In all three of these cases I never would have bought any of these games without having pirated them first and seeing that they were actually quite decent.

that's what hydraulics were originally for
that, and getting around state vehicle regulations
Pineapple isn't a great topping but it beats pepperoni FUCK PEPPERONI

man I don't get the hate for pepperoni
like if you just think it doesn't add much fine, but how do you dislike it? It's nearly tasteless from 90 percent of pizzarias
but man
you get like a nice brooklyn pizza, just a pepperoni pie, with the pepperoni the size of a nipple, they get all curly and get a little dab of grease in the middle- unf

Other meats can be okay tho
worst part is when its essentially fused with the day-old pizza that gets served and thus can't be removed
Pepperoni is the best topping
