I'm Italian and I myself don't like peperoni. Like, anywhere
Piracy is more akin to counterfeiting than stealing. It's like buying a bootleg DVD or a knockoff shirt or whatever, it might result in some lost sales but that doesn't make it theft.
Whatever it is, it should be a crime. Too bad people get away with it because paypal is run by retards and only major distributors get charged with anything.
I like Half Life 1 more than Half Life 2.
National Cheese Pizza Day shouldn't be a thing... I mean, who the fuck eats pizza without toppings!?
Pepperoni isn't meat
fact
If you like pepperoni you don't deserve pizza
fact

Pepperoni by itself is boring as hell. Gotta have other things with it like green peppers, red onions and mushrooms.
Acapulco pizza is the shit.

Piracy should not be considered a crime until all software/media/services are distributed worldwide and fairly converted to local currencies if monetized. Not doing this is tantamount to asking for people to illegally download because they have no other means of getting it.

Also everyone here should stop eating shit pepperoni
The default topping on pizza should be ham n' pineapple!

Any kind of mushroom in food is wrong, disgusting and a big fuck you to society as a whole.
Who the fuck actively wants to eat fungus
You're gonna hate what most dairy products are
?
Ever eat cheese? Yogurt? Butter?
Just as ~spooky~ as fungus
It was more of an over exaggeration to kinda make fun of my hatred of using mushrooms in cooking, its not like i have a phobia of fungus lol.

You know who consumes fungus, snails.
You know who consumes dairy, mammals.
Checkmate snail-lover
?
and also dont forget that the yeast they use in brewing and baking? that's a fungus too, and a number of fungi are responsible for how fermenting foods work the way it does
say goodbye to leavened bread, beer, pickles, and a whole lot of other stuff too
Wow guys, i wasn't talking about fungus as a whole, i was talking about using whole mushrooms like portobello in dishes. (which is super common in danish cooking)

I will defend Hawaiian pizza to the death! I will help regain it's honor as a delicious pizza option. So sweet and so salty!
I don't get why SH has to report on Garry's babies. I know he runs the site, but c'mon you can pull off the same game-related jokes at least once before it gets tiring.
Super Mario 64 isn't as good as most people say it is. Mostly due to bad conveyance.
The soundtrack might be the best on the N64, though. Even after 20 years it still blows my mind. I get extremely sentimental every time I listen to it.
The Nintendo 64 in general isn't that good. Only thing that held up its library was Nintendo and Rare games. Surprises me anytime someone proclaims that it's the "best console ever"

i used to think this and then i made some mushroom bourguignon
fuckin excellent
I finally sat through the Revenant and thought it was painfully cliche, if not actively bad.
You had such a good fucking foundation to work on, so let's stretch generic artsy slow scenes and ~dream sequences~ across about an hour and a half, and another 30 minutes of "grr gritty realistc bloodspurts toughnails" battles, and then 30 minutes of actual plot.
Oh, and your audience is too stupid to understand the motivation of revenge purely based on being left for dead, so be sure to weasel a son into there just so he can [sp]get murdered like 15-30 minutes in.[/sp] :why:
And it's not like I can't do artsy. I sat through the entirety of 79's Stalker in one run and was captivated. It was an active struggle not to pull out my phone or play fetch with my dog while Revenant was dragging its' heels, though.
On the topic of fruit on pizza, delivery chains should experiment with mango chicken.

i feel like the revenant is only good in theaters
seeing it in imax was a fucking experience but i feel like watching it on anything else will ruin it

So what about the people in who pirate AAA releases with no DRM issues on launch day, when they live in america ergo the "unfairly converted currencies and lack of global distribution" argument doesn't apply to them? Should they be allowed to do that without repurcussions?
the silent treatment should be a crime

it's dumb to criminalize something based on abuse

Piracy rarely, if ever, equates to lost sales.
Copyright law should only go after major distributors (and arguably cracking teams?), but never Mom/Pop because they pirated some album or season of a TV show. And even then, it's a waste of everyone's time and money, typically.
The actual number of "pirates" who can both afford and actually trust a product, but still pirate it anyways, are extremely small. Most are doing it either because they don't trust reviews (or there's a lack of a demo), or they simply can't afford to drop $20-80 on some new form of media.
ideally, piracy laws would only target distributors and not the individuals downloading.

I agree with you on everything else but I really don't think the people pirating things as demos are that big a group. Money and convenience are the biggest factors IMO
I agree with you on everything else but I really don't think the people pirating things as demos are that big a group. Money and convenience are the biggest factors IMO
Oh definitely. I'm working off personal experience. There've been AAA games I pirated before buying because no one made a demo and I wasn't sure if it was really worth my $60.
Now-a-days, you're locked out of whatever online content they have in the process, typically. (Think Dark Souls III), so that's another trade-off you have to pay.
Factorio actually having a demo is what made me buy the game ASAP, however. I got hooked before even finishing it.
Personally, I always feel like things like the visual style, music, atmosphere, and/or world have always contributed more to whether or not I like or am interested in a game than gameplay. I'm not saying this is the "right" way to think about games (whatever that is) or trying to persuade anyone into thinking like this or anything like that, but I feel like I'm in the minority on this and I thought I'd just talk about it.
For example, I love the Mother series for these reasons (and obviously the writing is also a big part of why it's good, but I'm pretty sure I'd still enjoy them anyway even if the writing wasn't as good) even though I can totally admit that gameplay-wise they're pretty bare-bones, shallow, turn-based RPGs that don't really offer much new mechanically to the genre. It'd be nice if there was more to it, but they already manage to be very fulfilling experiences for me regardless.
On the flip side, there are tons of games that are given tons of praise that I'm sure are great that I really just can't get myself to want to play because nothing about them really appeals to me aesthetically.
I don't think I'll like a game if it's just not even remotely fun to play or downright aggravating (and not in the good way) to do so, but the qualities I mentioned have just always mattered more to me for some reason I can't explain. In a way, they might even be part of what makes a game fun for me in the first place.
