There should be an anti cheat system in games that doesn't bans cheaters and hackers if they are detected, but instead turns off their PC fans, overclock their CPU to insane GHz while removing all the graphical optimisation (LoD, tesselation etc). The ultimate goal is to cause hardware damage to the cheater's computer via overheating.
It's easy to just buy another $15-$60 copy of a game or create another account if it's F2P, but it's not easy to replace a $400-$1000+ component.
This is a terrible idea. Even if there were no false positives you can't just take revenge on people who break your ToS. That's not how the legal system works. Just imagine for a second what it would be like if companies were allowed to do that.
Yeah can't wait for Sony to send a bunch of thugs to smash my computer to bits because I ripped a CD, or Facebook to burn my house down because I used a fake name.

I love em with all my heart but nobody can top obsidian's as far as I'm concerned.

Obsidian and Valve have much different strengths when it comes to writing. Valve is a master of comedic timing and linear narrative, while Obsidian is extremely good at creating broad, cohesive RPG worlds and character-based side stories.
I like the story and world of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but I hate the gameplay. The constant switching between first and third person annoyed me to the point where I stopped playing before leaving Detroit. I also don't like the verbal boss battle style of conversations.

It's one of the best unplayable games out there. The story, lore, art, everything about it is top notch but I cannot stand to actually play the game.
A player's rank in team-based multiplayer videogames should be based on special parameters depending on the kind of characters the player played as in a given ranked match, not on how many victories or losses the player gains during his career

this is actually literally illegal

a better idea would be to only matchmake cheaters with other cheaters and remove them from the non-cheating community entirely.
i don't even agree with the idea that cheaters get perma-locked out of their game, especially if they bought the physical copy.
Tried to get into House of Cards, and holy fuck on a cross did it bore me. And the way Kevin Spacey talks to the camera is kind of dumb.
I can understand not liking the show as a whole, but I really like how he breaks the fourth wall and talks directly to the audience. I think it makes his story a lot more personal and interesting. If I was just watching Kevin Spacey do morally questionable things to gain political power, it might be watchable, but without that direct window into his thoughts and inner world it would lack the charm that makes the show so enjoyable for me.
The new Doom is probably going to be crap compared to the original and most people who say "Oh wow it's just like Old Doom!" don't have a single clue.

if you went outdoors every once in a while, people wouldn't be able to cause you emotional trauma through video games

Yeah, I can see that actually.
I hate nutella and chipotle. So gross.
Sometimes i think this thread cant top itself with stupid opinions, but then someone like this comes along and proves me wrong.
The best anti-cheat systems out there is a 3 strike and your out rule.
3 Cheats, and you account gets blocked.
If something needs to be added, personally i think it should be this aswell:
3 Blocked Accounts with the same name and banking information then gets perma.
Can't wait for people to bypass this by only using 2 cheats. Cheating shouldn't be tolerated in any way or form, it should be 1 strike and you're out.

Have you tried eating them separately?
Bioshock, regardless of the amazing aesthetics/worldbuilding, would make a bad movie. The entire reason the plot works is because the player is 'given' control. Unless a movie focused on another story set in Rapture, it would all collapse.
Have you tried eating them separately?
Oh my.... no I haven't. I'll have to try that out, thanks!

Then why do you keep making alt accounts Newb?
Disney doesn't write good stories
they're all either hamfisted, predictable moral narratives with awful villains (Up, Zootopia) or they're neutered adaptations of medieval folklore (basically everything else)
Catacomb Trilogy > Wolfenstein 3D
It's like Wolf3D but fantasy and more texture variety so it's easier to get your bearings.

That probably wouldn't even work lol. Even if the game had access to do that (another reason to install gentoo, muh principle of least privilege), your computer would shut itself off immediately/bsod most likely. It's why over clocking is a pretty safe thing nowadays
Religion isn't the problem as much as crazy is. But religion can be the drive to that, with an emphasis on "can"
This. While Religion "can" be a source of crazy shit, it's mostly the case on how crazy the person is, and sadly those kind of people are very vocal. Many forget that there are benefits to being part of one ie being in a non-crazy social group, working on your sense of inner peace, and just learning to becoming a better person through what the texts say, disregarding the "Gays are sinners" that most Catholics don't take as seriously now.
I like metal gear solid V story. I've seen pictures of mgsiv, and seen gameplay, and it all just looks like too weeb for me.

V wasn't much better in that regard
Bernie Sanders supporters make me want to gouge my eyes out. Not exact numbers, but a very large portion of them only support Sanders because of one-track issues such as them being upset over the price of University/College, when they choose degrees which are dead end and will not lead to a career that can produce profit, or at least not produce profit for the majority of those who take college courses for it.
Not to mention when you start discussing issues such as stuff relating to taxes and compare to other candidates, they just shut down and stop responding because a majority of them don't understand that Bernie Sanders intends on raising taxes to all income groups. Not just the ten percenters.

This isn't specific to Sanders supporters, ask a typical Trump/Hillary supporter about their candidate's tax plan and they'll be just as clueless. Voter ignorance and single issue voting is a problem throughout society.
I like drinking instant coffee the flaver is shit yes but it makes my throat feel nice
a movie being "good" or "bad" is 100% subjective
saying a movie is "objectively" good or bad is just a way of shielding yourself against opinions that differ from yours because you can literally just say their opinions are wrong and feel better about your own

There's still factors to movies that are more objective in terms of quality, though. Like acting or directing, for instance.
There's still factors to movies that are more objective in terms of quality, though. Like acting or directing, for instance.
they're subjective, but there's a reason people who are more into movies often flock to similar standards of quality, and i think there's more to it than the hive mind people sometimes associate with film critics
i've always seen it as the difference between liking a movie and respecting it. i respect the revenant for its great filmmaking, but i don't particularly like it. on the other hand, a movie like national treasure is one i like but don't particularly respect
