when it comes to Valve, people talk about either half-life 3 or left 4 dead 3 the most(AFAIK) I'd like a new half-life deathmatch tbh

I honestly dont think we'll see another valve game for a looong time They're going to ride the CSGO/Dota2 gravy train for years

This is a first for me, but I find the whole "mmmh asses and tits" online obsession about Overwatch simply annoying as fuck and it's the main reason I left our Overwatch thread for the time being I swear, it's like being back in middle school

I think all this stuff saying its sexist to have sexualised girls is rediculous. As a gay male myself, i find McCree stupidly attractive and sexualised just because of the whole Cowboy thing, its different strokes for different blokes etc... If people get pissed off with sexualised characters then people wouldn't be attracted to the game, which then people wouldn't allow them to make the game because its so unpopular.

Hopefully the whole ass and titties thing will die out after launch tonight but I wouldn't be so sure on it. Like, the high noon memes got a chuckle out of me the first few times but then like everything overly popular it crashed into a tank of 'obnoxious' gas

Portal 2 is the best Valve game. No other game can even come close.

Unpopular Opinion: Half Life 2 is really not that fun to play. Cool story, great world, fun lore, but gameplay wise it's dull as fuck

HL2 is often hailed as the pinnacle of single player fps pacing i couldn't disagree more, there's so many parts of the game that just drag on and on i can't even tell if i'm actually making progress anymore

considering how often "half life 2 isn't that great" is brought up in this thread it's starting to seem more like the popular opinion than the unpopular one

Yeah the pacing in HL2 is abysmal. There's a lot of portions where you run around the room trying to stay engaged while exposition dribbles out. hl2 is a fantastic game. so fantastic in fact that it took people over 10 years to find completely valid flaws in it.

I don't think Valve should focus on making games anymore. They should put all their focus and attention on Steam. It's by far the best buisness decision. Screw HL3/L4D3/Portal 3.. At this point, who honestly cares?

I'd rather play a different shooter than Half-Life, I just think there's more fun ones out there like Halo, Doom, Quake, Serious Sam, etc. Maybe it's just me but Half-Life is very dull, then again I'm used to the faster paced shooters.

I'll agree that personally Half Life 3 isn't too interesting to me, but I feel saying something as broad as "who even cares" is a little ambitious since I'm sure there's still a lot of people who would want to see it. If I wanted them to focus on anything it'd be L4D3 since I've always found the series to be charming and fun.

Expanding on my opinion: I can't imagine how Valve is going to do something revolutionary with the current tech and state of the industry, especially with FPS gaming. The hype surrounding the "3" games is so huge, that no matter what Valve does they can simply not win. They're going to disappoint people no matter what they do and it's most likely going to hurt them in the long run if they decide to make games. Valve is a money printing machine. Not only do they have Steam which is an incredible revenue source, larger than any game they could possibly make, but they also have the TF2/CS:GO/Dota2 item market which is also gigantic. Their E-Sport presence is growing larger by the day. That's what they should focus on.

I don't care about Half Life but I'd be very excited for Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3. I don't think there are impossibly huge expectations surrounding those two games. Valve won't have to do anything "revolutionary" to sell them. Portal 3 just needs to be more of the same really. L4D3 too, just keep the same formula, put some new things in it and voilà.

Hillary has a few good points while Trump, with what little he focuses on, is all terrible.
