I honestly would be more interested in Left 4 Dead 3 than Half Life 3/Episode Three
At this point, any negative comments (or at least anything saying X is more interesting than HL3) about Half-Life 3 are no longer unpopular. At least that's what I think, because really, we're probably never going to see Half-Life 3 ever, and it really isn't the end of the world. There will be many more great, well hyped games in the future.
I don't understand why everybody hates the gunplay in HL2, sure, the pistol and SMG feel like they're shooting lima beans, but the AR2 feels amazing to use. The thump-thump-thump sound it makes is so satisfying.
anti-GMO is just modern ludditism
Season 6 of Game of Thrones has been one of the best so far.
It's definitely had a higher than average incidence of "OH SHIT, SON" episodes over "okay, that was enjoyable" episodes so far.

I love the shotgun in HL2. One of the best shotguns in gaming in my opinion.
anti-GMO is just modern ludditism
One scary thing about anti-GMO people is that they're pretty similar to anti-vaxx people. So many of the things we eat have been genetically modified (either through selective breeding or genetic engineering) to hell and back for ages. Foods we take for granted like corn, bananas, and wheat. If it wasn't for GMOs over the ages, virtually all of our ancestors would have starved to death, if they hadn't already been killed by disease, or drought, or war, etc etc.
Without GMOs we probably wouldn't be eating popcorn as much as we do today. And they've led to probably one of the best agricultural breakthroughs of the modern era, golden rice and its sequel golden rice 2.
Popcorn isn't that good though.
I like Angry Joe's new Rapid Fire reviews that are 10-15 minutes long aside from his actual reviews. Now people can shut up when they ask for a review.
my problem with gmos isnt the fact that theyre gmos and more about monsanto and the horrible business practices it uses to keep itself alive and leeching off of the blood of farmers in america
copyrighting dna sets a horrible precedent for the future
people always say this as though monsanto is the only entity that develops gmos
i mean gmos are used pretty much everywhere by everyone now, and it's stupid to have a problem with them because of monsanto. it's like having a problem with smartphones because there's one company somewhere which uses slave labour to make them
imgur is probably the worst community tbh. every time i go to upload something I usually see some racially charged album or some anti-feminist album on the front page usually posted by people who think they operate by reason, logic, and truth.

there are fractions of subgenres of fandoms on Twitter worse than all of imgur. Racists and redpillers are infinitely preferable to witchhunters and self-righteous moral crusaders; they're unpleasant but common, and typically harmless.

The one thing that's REALLY annoying about imgur is when theres like a picture uploaded to be used on another site (mostly reddit) and people comment on imgur like "What does this mean??? I dont get it??? Why did u post this??"

also that weird bear meme (the one where people post horrible things they've done) is the most obnoxious thing ever

I forget Imgur is supposed to be a community or whatever sometimes. I've always just exclusively used it to dump images on there and post them elsewhere.
Rugged individualism is a horseshit philosophy.
Imgur has a community? What?

That's because the person uploading it didn't uncheck the "share with community" option.

If that option is active then it'll show up in the user submitted section of the site. Otherwise it'll only be accessible though a link/the uploader's profile.

I find that meme hilarious in the darkest way possible. Its like everybody who has made a rendition of that sat down, and thought, "How can I come off as the most self-centered, petty, and possibly low-functioning sociopath known to man?" every goddamn time.

Personally, I hate "story based" image macros in general. They are rarely used for their intended purpose and devolve into "lie 4 upboats xD!!!" pretty much the moment people catch wind of them.
It's funny to see people contradict their stories and cause drama that shouldn't even be happening, though.
i dont think gmo crops should be outright banned but the field needs more regulation and research put into it, no corporation should have that much control over the world's food supply
exception this "control of the worlds food supply" is exaggerated massively because there's multiple companies and states which are in the market. people who go on about Monsanto misleading think they have a complete monopoly over it all
there's also mentioning that the more people restrict it in other countries (like the EU), the less chances that other companies have to start up and compete and actually prevent a monopoly forming in the first place
GMOs should be given more support and funding, and more companies should be given freedom to develop them and farmers to utilize them - instead of restricting their development

Says the Potato man
Its weird to me that one of the gaming industries most creative minds that envisioned so many magical and unforgettable worlds is the one whos responsible for the stagnation of those same worlds and has been playing it so safe in the past few years.
People misuse the term socialism, but actual socialism is a legitimate financial model that has seen success. At its core, socialism is about eliminating financial hierarchies and making companies worker-owned. We have seen it work with companies such as Publix and Mondragon, these are very successful companies with multi-billion dollar revenues. Markets can still exist under socialism; market is a means of distribution, socialism is a means of control over production.
If more companies adopted Publix and Mondragon's models we'd see less wealth inequality and fairer wages without the need for much government regulation and perhaps better and less cutthroat business practices.

Real life example of socialism working.
Cream soda is cancer
Cream soda is cancer
I can agree with this.
I think it tastes like shit and can't understand the appeal.
My partner loves it and i just hate everything about it, the smell, taste, everything!
Cream soda is cancer
I've never willingly brought Cream Soda. Whenever I have gotten some it was ALWAYS by accident
Cream soda is cancer
Cream does not belong in the form of soda
