Game Grumps hasn't gone down in quality as much as people think it's mostly cause people who are big fans binge watch it and the same problems are and have always been there so their hypersensetive to them.

slow-motion is fucking stupid it breaks the fourth wall, ruins the tempo of fight scenes, massively reduces the impact of hits, and looks bad in almost every instance that it's been used. Explosions shouldn't be slow. Punches shouldn't be slow. Fights shouldn't be slow. Stop it.

The best way to do that is to make everything fast-paced, dangerous, and over-before-you-know-it, but they castrate this effect by making the entire thing last 2:00 instead of the :03 it actually took. and it wasn't cool. it was stupid. if your film is gonna lean on post-production to look visually interesting you might as well just get the CGI team to jerk off onto the film reel. 0/10 will never watch

To me it felt more intense and cinematic. As someone who works with film it really gives me this artistic feeling that I like, so taste is taste.

From what I gathered about the slow-motion in Dredd from watching the Half in the Bag review on it is that it's used to emulate the effects of the drugs that the junkies are on. so i think you missed the point of the slow-mo in dredd. but idk i havent seen it so im not an expert

Plastic check out bags and plastic water bottles (not the personal ones, the ones you get out of a machine or in packs at the grocery store) are dumb, wasteful ideas and should be gotten rid of or taxed nationwide to discourage their use.

I haven't really seen anything like those in the grocery stores near my house. The stuff that's packaged is stuff like pre-cut fruit, baby carrots, or grapes. The stuff that sorta makes sense to package like that. I guess I must manage to consistently miss then or something?
