I'm not a 'climate change denier' in the slightest, but... The excessive pushing of climate change has actually been counter-productive. I understand why people are eager to do this, as they are scared of the consequences of inaction. However, at times with me it got a little ridiculous how much it was covered in school, for example. We covered it in all three sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Biology), in French we had to speak about it, in English GCSE we occasionally got given posters about it to analyse, in general school stuff they banged on about it all the time, and so on. This, when combined with the apocalyptic disasters predicted in ten years not coming true, has led to people becoming very cynical about the whole situation. All of this pushing of climate change, at least here in liberal left-wing London, has been counter-productive.
people are pushing so hard because politicians dismiss it as a myth, so funding into deeper research is difficult. we want to find out more ways to reverse it than lowering carbon emissions because that's taking far too long. [editline]6th June 2016[/editline] i understand that some people may be cynical, but we literally don't have time to be cynical when florida is sinking and polar bears are drowning.
I'm sure you kids and grandkids will apreciate that.
Nature will be nature; if this is humanity's path then I will accept it no matter how much pain any of us are brought. Trying to support it would just make me support it less, anyways.
I loved Nothing Was The Same. It's got a few duds, but it has a load of incredible songs, Tuscan Leather, From Time, Furthest Thing, Pound Cake, etc. That being said, I do like super low key mellow Drake, and I know a lot of people don't, so that probably influences my opinions a good bit. That is a good point that I forgot about though, should've said Drake + his production crew are some of my favorite musical folks of this generation. His production crew is absolutely phenomenal.
I like mellow drake too, Take Care is probably my favorite record of his and I like NWTS too. He's a good artist (if you can call him that considering he doesnt do much in the production of his music), but one of the best of our generation? I dont know about that. Trying to support it would just make me support it less, anyways.
The problem is that humanity is irrevocably changing natures path into one that ends in the eventual fucking over of all humankind, its OUR problem and you should care
Nature will be nature; if this is humanity's path then I will accept it no matter how much pain any of us are brought. Trying to support it would just make me support it less, anyways.
Is this how you treat other political issues?
Nature will be nature; if this is humanity's path then I will accept it no matter how much pain any of us are brought. Trying to support it would just make me support it less, anyways.
this is easily the dumbest opinion i've ever seen on this thread "yeah we're going to destroy our selves and our planet, i accept our path lol"
Nature will be nature; if this is humanity's path then I will accept it no matter how much pain any of us are brought. Trying to support it would just make me support it less, anyways.
If you were climbing a mountain, and saw a boulder rolling towards you, would you say "This is nature's course. I accept it." and let it crush you? Humans have always kicked, screamed, and fought like hell to survive any situation in the past, and there's no good reason we shouldn't do so now.
Nature will be nature; if this is humanity's path then I will accept it no matter how much pain any of us are brought. Trying to support it would just make me support it less, anyways.
you're like a shitty nihilist
you're like a shitty nihilist
i wouldn't even grace them with the term.
Trying to support it would just make me support it less, anyways.
this is the first reported case of climate change hipster
Nature will be nature; if this is humanity's path then I will accept it no matter how much pain any of us are brought. Trying to support it would just make me support it less, anyways.
Until weather destroys your house.
I dislike pugs
Pugs are abominations that struggle not to suffocate when they sit still
Pugs are abominations that struggle not to suffocate when they sit still
Doesn't help that most of the time they are really dumb too
I do care about climate change but I think humanity on the whole is going to be way too god damn lazy or corrupt to do anything about it until it bites us in the ass.
Trying to support it would just make me support it less, anyways.
Saying this is an easy way of letting people know that your opinions are downright retarded and they should disregard anything you say completely because you're not smart enough to have a normal debate of ideas.
I do care about climate change but I think humanity on the whole is going to be way too god damn lazy or corrupt to do anything about it until it bites us in the ass.
The minute climate change became a pants on the head retarded left-wing vs right-wing issue, humanity fucked up as a whole.
you're like a shitty nihilist
I'm an autist with anxiety. Do you think I care about all of society's problems/want to help combat them? I'm a loner, I don't like getting in on team efforts. Even if I was convinced to do something about this I probably wouldn't even end up taking any action.
i'm visualizing an OC refsheet of yours at this very moment. you have "parents" and "climate change" listed under dislikes among other gems such as "vegetables" and "crosswalks".
I'm an autist with anxiety. Do you think I care about all of society's problems/want to help combat them? I'm a loner, I don't like getting in on team efforts.
global warming isn't societies problem, its a problem for the entirety of humanity
It's still a team effort that I'd be horrible in. I have trouble fitting in to almost anything and my efforts to actually try and stop it would end up working like dogshit anyhow.
It's still a team effort that I'd be horrible in. I have trouble fitting in to almost anything and my efforts to actually try and stop it would end up working like dogshit anyhow.
believe it or not, a problem can be a "team effort" but you don't have to directly participate in it. literally stuff like decreasing your trash production, walking/biking rather than driving, creating a garden are all COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT ACTIONS you can take in autist isolation while still contributing
Saying this is an easy way of letting people know that your opinions are downright retarded and they should disregard anything you say completely because you're not smart enough to have a normal debate of ideas.
I'm dumb then. I'm good in next to nothing anyways, debating obviously is one of the ones I suck in. I honestly don't care, I'm just going to enjoy my life while I can and use what I'm strong in to guide me.
you're interpreting the issue of global warming as a social one rather than a nature-related one, it's not some creative teambuilding exercise its trying to prevent extinction
believe it or not, a problem can be a "team effort" but you don't have to directly participate in it. literally stuff like decreasing your trash production, walking/biking rather than driving, creating a garden are all COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT ACTIONS you can take in autist isolation while still contributing
what if I appreciate the conveniences those things I'm giving up give me? of course I'm always going to use a car when I can, and a garden is just more inconvenience. before you get started on "well your kids will most certainly be happy", I hate my life, do you even think I want to have kids and try to progress the world's future? yeah, call me an edgelord or whatever, I'm just going to live live how I'd like and that's that
what if I appreciate the conveniences those things I'm giving up give me? of course I'm always going to use a car when I can, and a garden is just more inconvenience. before you get started on "well your kids will most certainly be happy", I hate my life, do you even think I want to have kids and try to progress the world's future? yeah, call me an edgelord or whatever
if this is honestly what you believe then i don't know what else to say other than you are a shitty person
if this is honestly what you believe then i don't know what else to say other than you are a shitty person
I stopped caring about this kinda stuff after I realized how fucked my head is. I don't want to do any of this stuff to help the environment, I'd prefer to just live isolated and do what I'd like with my life. [editline]7th June 2016[/editline] Anxiety from these type of arguments are what made me want to commit suicide a few years back. Just let me live how I want. I'm mentally fucked, and insulting me/calling me a "shitty person" for having mindsets typical of autists won't help that.
Just let me live how I want.
belittling yourself does not stop you from being a shitty person there are 7 billion humans and they each share an equal responsibility for stewardship of the planet, regardless of how selfish they are
I won't do anything to stop it. I'll just live life as I do right now. Oh, and thanks for insulting me again, that's totally gonna convince me you're right.
I won't do anything to stop it. I'll just live life as I do right now.
if you are perfectly fine with this mindset then you better be prepared to be called a shitty person
