I do concede that much to you. I never had a meaningful friendship with a girl a my life. That lasted more than half a year at least. Apparently I really need to work on how I phrase things because it's been happening way too much. When I say a "Bigger interest". Is more in the realms of actually wanting a more romantic kind of relationship. It doesn't necessarily need to be about sex. I'm talking more about the emotional aspect of love rather than the physical aspect.
they're pretty intertwined
Maybe it's cuz i lost three years worth of sanity, but I can't help but think that maybe Microsoft should actually use the U in UWP?
they're pretty intertwined
Well yes, but they are still very different from each other. Was kinda just correcting my last post since I worded very poorly. As if every friendship between a man and a woman is a means to a end for sex. Which is not true. It all depends on the person really. What I actually meant is that there always this atraction you develop with people that you befriend. Even if it's subconscious. I may not have any female friends but I have a lot of guy friends that used to have a lot of girl friends that just went on to end up disappointed because they had developed feelings for the guy in the long term of their relationship. Reason why I also can't befriend girls for shit. Because I always fall in love with them.

I do understand what you say to some degree, as I also have a habit of becoming interested in girls I get close to, but it's very much possible, it just depends on both participants personality.
Most Subways sandwiches are gross
I'm very picky with sandwiches so I normally just get with beef/chicken, cheddar cheese, lettuce and honey garlic/bbq.
The whole '"can't wait to x" with some regular pictures and one picture that indicates suicidal feelings' meme is really forced and unfunny
I find suicide jokes way more fucking hilarious than the have any right to be. Probably comes with my struggles with suicidalism, but I find it all hilarious for some reason.
i find suicide jokes to be funny too but those ones in particular just dont work
Boy this thread got depressing as fuck. As someone who debatably might have something similar to ol'Maxi, I want to live past 50 years. Back in December 2012 I was a nervous wreck about how much time we all have. I felt like that my contributions to the Earth weren't enough, but then I talked to people about it and got my neighbors to contribute a bit more as well. I did a essay years ago for school about not just recycling, but our it will buy humans more time to explore the reaches of space for a new home to last us billions of more years.
I don't think man and woman can be just friends. To me there's always going to be some bigger interest. Even if it's subconscious.
I'm living proof that I can be friends with a ton of girls and not get romantically or sexually attached until it's 'the one' or something. By the time I knew more about them most of them were very...clingy and felt sorry for the boyfriends they had. The last time I had a guy friend was an old elementary school buddy who I had since High School. I didn't need anyone else because he literally the only one that cared and 90% of the guys in HS were the usual sports jockeys that'd bully me to no end. When he was gone I had a seriously hard time making more guy friends. That is until college where I found a bunch of losers just like me. Plus there's one girl I feel like I shouldn't get together with because she's a bit of a wreck making dumb decisions and I'm one of the people who has to bail her out of trouble. If there was one person who I didn't 100% regret "friendzoning," it was her.
Rusty was never as terrible as people claim he is, and I doubt he could even be considered to be in the bottom five of Facepunch mods.
OK so this is a really weird one but in anything where the Dick Tracy NES game is brought up, people make fun of the first case because it's about a fake $20 bill, and that's not a lot of money and also a really minor crime. This has always nagged the shit out of me for two reasons, one is that a fake bill of any amount is presumably a sign of a money counterfeiting operation, which is not a minor crime, and also Dick Tracy I presume takes place in like the 30s where $20 is worth a lot of money. According to this inflation calculator it has the same buying power as about $350 today, which is nothing to scoff at. I can agree that it's maybe not as exciting as murder, but it's far from the laughable minor crime people make it out to be. This is a really minor thing to be annoyed by but I dunno, it's the least of that game's problems :v:
Sonic games suck. The whole point is to go fast but there's so many obstacles in the way, and if you go fast enough you can't even react to whats in front of you.
Rusty was never as terrible as people claim he is, and I doubt he could even be considered to be in the bottom five of Facepunch mods.
He wasn't a bad mod, he's a bad poster.
He wasn't a bad mod, he's a bad poster.
And to an extent, that makes him a bad mod, given the fact that there is no way he wouldn't have been permabanned for how bad his posting was.
He was both a bad mod and a bad poster, mostly concentrating on shitposting and getting away with it and abusing his power to harass those deemed undesirables by him and his clique in gmf. IIRC, he even overturned legitimate bans on a couple of occasions. Not to mention he was a lazy bum and never did any real modding for almost the last 2 years he had his position, besides one or two bans a month and towards the end all of those were spam bots.
Sonic games suck. If you were able to max speed it all the way through first time that means there was no challenge.
Rusty was never as terrible as people claim he is, and I doubt he could even be considered to be in the bottom five of Facepunch mods.
Rusty went well out of his way to be annoying by acting as if his own personal opinions were objectively right. So yeah, shit poster, whiny mod.
The Mass Effect 3 endings were only the shit cherry on top of the big shit sundae(ME2) sitting on the good stuff(ME1)
The Mass Effect 3 endings were only the shit cherry on top of the big shit sundae(ME2) sitting on the good stuff(ME1)
What? Honestly I'm doing my best to get through me, but it's so dull that I stop playing after about 20 minutes. The gameplay is crap
I'm mostly talking about storytelling and narrative. You're right in that ME2 and 3 have the better gameplay than ME but the problem is if you take away that gameplay and characters in the sequels you have a shit game. Me2 ends up throwing away the foundation of the first game by introducing dumb villains and a dumb plot.
Final Fantasy 13 may have been a sub-par FF game, but it was a pretty great game in it's own right. I realize my opinion is terribly warped and biased, though. It was the first next gen game I played on Ps3, so the whole time I was just going ape over the newness of the console and graphics. Replaying it on Steam for the first time in 5+ years, it really is nostalgic in it's own way. The music is still phenomenal, even if the story makes no sense and the characterization is all over the place. I liked the paradigms system, and the combat system was alright too.
I like to use these things...
[editline]These things.[/editline]

[editline]These things.[/editline]
...just to make a post easier to read. I've recently gotten into the habit of intentionally inserting them into long posts just to break them up and put additional spacing into them in a way that looks kinda natural. Is this something other people do here, and I just haven't noticed?
loss will never stop being funny
Cartoons having dirty jokes only adults would get isn't something super special and amazing. It seems like barely any cartoons in the past 20 years haven't done this.
Crash Bandicoot really wasn't as amazing as everybody made it out to be.
I wish more people created instead of consumed. For me, it's hard to be passionate about media when all I want to do is create my own content. However, I work and have no time to fulfil these desires
I don't like SpaceX and Tesla Motors because at the end of the day they're for-profit companies that are driven by the need for more money.
I don't like SpaceX and Tesla Motors because at the end of the day they're for-profit companies that are driven by the need for more money.
of course they are driven by money, but that doesn't mean they're driven solely by profits either way by that logic you're writing off 99% of businesses because they are doing what they are supposed to
I don't like SpaceX and Tesla Motors because at the end of the day they're for-profit companies that are driven by the need for more money.
I get what you're saying, but how else are we going to reach these goals? The issue is that we exist in a capitalistic system. In order to pursue any goal within this system, it has to have some sort of financial motivation to work.

I'd rather NASA be left to that tbh.
