Armored Core: Verdict Day is my favorite armored core game and I just can't get back into Armored Core 4 and I have my doubts that i'll be able to get into For Answer.
Wall-E is the best Pixar movie
Yes, even better than Toy Story
new cartoon network sucks, all of the ''popular shows''(amazing world of gumball, adventure time, steven universe etc) look the same and have the same shitty randumb humor
those cartoons are on the level of mlp for me
I have no idea how you can say Gumball looks like any cartoon currently airing
Gumball is fucking great and I love its artstyle too
I don't think you've watched it
Gumball is a show that looks like absolute shit but you really, really need ot watch.
I thought it was the stupidest fucking crap until I sat down and watched it and oh my gosh it's so good it's so funny and yeah it's hit and miss with some episodes but wow.

Gumball & Wander Over Yonder (RIP) have some of the best animation in modern cartoons.
I prefer Bioshock Infinite's story to 1's.

Since we are on the subject

This guy managed to change my opinion on Bioshock Infinite drastically
Stardew Valley is a TERRIBLE game
literally Chore Simulator 2016 with the dumbest RPG elements imaginable, and it doesn't even get farming right
I don't hear much talk on the internet about it, but We Bare Bears is definitely a favourite of mine despite it being so new.

I think there was a point where it felt as if video games were the new Saturday morning cartoon. I think it was around the time when the Xbox 360 was gaining momentum?
Speaking of unpopular opinions and TV...
Cartoon Network should un-cancel their Green Lantern series.

maybe if you go into it expecting a super in depth rpg and ultra realistic farming simulation but in reality its just a fun and relaxing harvest moon type game

I'm really getting annoyed with this sentiment because it's always coming from a place of someone who hasn't actually watched cartoons in years. They only look similar on a really, really surface level, and when you get in to it there's a lot that differentiates them. Like how Steven Universe features really detailed and gorgeous backgrounds that look nothing like anything I know of. Or how Adventure Time has this, I've always thought, sort of indie artwork quality to it that makes it look like album art and mostly features monsters of extremely varied designs, in a light fantasy world with some modern shit thrown in, that overall reminds me of Felix Colgrave's works. And then Amazing World of Gumball just looks like nothing else I'm aware of because it constantly mixes virtually everything. I mean, it's got traditional animation, it's got puppets, it's got stop motion, it's got photo-realistic CGI, flash animation, and live action. It's like a grab bag of everything in a way that surprisingly works.
And none of these shows I'm aware of are going for randumb humor. If anything, the humor feels more complicated than it used to be for me. Slapstick feels a lot less common and humor feels more dialogue based than it used to, and a lot of the time, these shows aren't afraid to have emotional moments and delve in to more complicated issues. Like I love Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy but did that show ever make you cry? Did any kids cartoon show from the 2000s make you cry? Or even feel upset, or conflicted, or angry, or any kind of emotion beside humored or bored? I don't remember a single lasting emotional moment in any of them. For that matter, did they ever really tackle issues that mattered, like depression, being LGBT, parenting that can be abusive and harmful, relationships, dysfunctional families, or even just having some diverse characters, in a way that isn't played as a joke? Or were the human characters almost always white, straight if anything, completely emotionally unchallenged, and the focus on adventure of the week slapstick?
If all you look at is "Do they animate in flash" and don't pay any attention to fine details or give them any kind of a chance, then yes, the shows will look very similar to you, congratulations on being unadventurous. Maybe next you could listen to nothing but pop music and then tell us that all music sounds the same and it was better in the 90s. But if you actually give them a shot, they are indeed still very different from one another. Cartoons are still evolving, and frankly, they're making big strides forward. I'm waiting for the day I can say there's cartoons that are not trying to be comedy and are trying to be fully serious, all the time. As many problems as there are with the current anime market, they're at least already there, but western animation is going to have to work it's way there slowly.
I just think that the constant pandering to young adults and teens who grew out of the original CN is just kinda bland and repetitive at this point
"woah-ho kooky adult themes here that only REAL DEAL ADULTS with DEEP MINDS will notice!" - The Show! (Adventure Time, Steven Universe, etc. etc.)

My biggest issue with the game was crap severs, bad balancing and the fact that From Soft appearantly gave way the IP to Bandai Namco.
We won't be getting another Armored Core according to Miyazaki.

That's not really pandering, that's just a shift in target demographic. I mean before you could accuse them of pandering to toddlers, and you could accuse Rick and Morty of pandering to adults. That just sounds kind of meaningless. I think you're perceiving a lot more pretentiousness than there actually is.

If you think SU or AT are pandering then man you have some ridiculously high standards
if you're a 12 year old it'll be just as enjoyable as if you're 18, you'll just enjoy it a different way. Have you even watched them? Because they are in fact very well written shows, pandering usually implies that it's forcing itself to be relatable to a certain demographic (Like the new ghostbusters movie) but SU and AT don't even come close to being like that
I really like David Hayters voice acting in MGS4 and MGSPW.
If people want to distance themselves from society and do whatever the hell they want on their own, let them.
i dont
who doesnt?? im sorry how is this an unpopular opinion
I've seen a lot of people in the Metal Gear thread holding the opinion that Hayter's voice acting after mgs3 wasn't good. (Which I disagree with as well)
maybe if you go into it expecting a super in depth rpg and ultra realistic farming simulation but in reality its just a fun and relaxing harvest moon type game
I was expecting a fun little thing where you build a farm
instead I got a game where you have to wake up every morning to water your entire field of corn with a gardening pail [sp]one cornstalk at a time[/sp]
fortunately, you can upgrade your skills to make this take less time, so at the end of the day Stardew Valley is a game where you practice doing chores so that the core of the game (doing chores) is a little less annoying
it's not fun and relaxing at all, because I can't play it without thinking that my time would be better spent cleaning my apartment and exercising in real life, where it actually matters. It's the worst kind of game. I never played harvest moon but if they're anything alike, then that is probably also terrible.
I wasn't hoping for super in-depth RPG mechanics, but is a dialogue system too much to ask for? the only way to have a non-scripted interaction with other villagers is by giving them shit.

pretty sure this is the exact wrong use of the question mark
pretty sure this is the exact wrong use of the question mark
However, it isn't.
pretty sure this is the exact wrong use of the question mark
If you're looking for a place where people use the question mark correctly you're on the wrong website.
Find any post with any sort of misinformation and you'll get a post like "But it's not???" or something similar.
Also people who bag on the lennyface yet unironically use :^) are idiots because they're used for the exact same reasons.

Not since the ending of Kingdom Hearts when I was five did I cry until MGS4's final two acts years later. If MGS4 was an actual movie everyone would get at least Oscar nominations.
eugenics isn't a bad idea on paper, it's just easily corruptible, easy to take too far, and always ends up being implemented in bigoted and genocidal ways.
eugenics isn't a bad idea on paper, it's just easily corruptible, easy to take too far, and always ends up being implemented in bigoted and genocidal ways.
This applies to a LOT of theoretically great ideas. Communism comes to mind pretty quickly.

Communism isn't that good on paper either though.
