Watched this on cable while I was quite sick (I don't remember but fever is likely) and I probably felt more mindfuck than I probably should.

Don't bother with Ao Haru Ride, it's one of the most standard and boring shoujo anime out there. if you want something similar but less terrible might I recommend:(in order of best to worst) Kimi ni Todoke, Lovely Complex, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, and Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji (this one's debatable but I liked it)
Date a Live is kind of shit in a hilarious way, Ergo Proxy is good, Triage X is terrible in a not funny way, don't watch Grisaia lmao play the vn instead.
Plastic memories is good though.
Use MAL you scrub

I liked it a lot but the reception was pretty mixed so I just included that in my recommendation.
For some reason it's far more difficult to find a good action series that isn't already well-known for good action than it should be.
I keep running into shows where I'm convinced that they didn't even bother storyboarding action and just wrote [action scene] on the script, leading to awkward action stills and cutaways in otherwise perfectly well animated shows.

I reserve the right to get sick of a show's shit and put it on hold after thirty episodes straight of them deliberately setting up then avoiding fights over and over, then introducing mechanics that I hate.
I got sick of it around [sp]the chimera ant arc[/sp] but enjoyed it quite a bit up to that point, and then towards the end of it I started to enjoy it a bit more again, but not as much as before.

The pacing was a little weird but it still had a lot of great episodes. My personal favorite is the Yorknew City arc. [sp]I lost my shit when Uvo bit a guys head off, spit his skull fragments at another guy to kill him, and then screamed the last guy to death.[/sp]
Shokugeki is seriously painful to watch, my facial muscles and throat don't have the endurance to smile and laugh for twenty minutes straight. AOTS

I'm still not really convinced anything good is airing this season, at all.
How far off am I on that? Punchline seems to be overall disliked, whilst some thinks it seems to be amazing. Ore Monogatari I haven't really heard that much about.
Me and a bunch of others here have been praising ore monogatari every week pretty much tho, you should at least give that one a watch. Easily AOTS followed closely by Kekkai sensen.

I'm enjoying everything I picked up with the exception of Nisekoi S2
a certain KyoAni show is AOTS so far but there's no point in even mentioning it to you
