both SHAFT and Kyoani have both lost their touch the past few years, Madhouse has gained on theirs, Sunrise is Sunrise, and Toei is still shit

I've been seeing people hating on Rakuen. Everyone is avoiding it like the plague because Kajitsu was pure grade 100% garbage, or because they decided to wait 300 years for the VN to get translated.
If you've played and finished the Kajitsu VN, watching Meikyuu and Rakuen probably isn't going to ruin anything for you. From what I've been hearing, the only things you're not seeing is the gratuitous amount of sex scenes. A bunch of people who have read the VNs say the adaptation, at least so far, has been really good.
If you're interested, but worried it's going to mess up the VNs for you, [B]wait until Rakuen is finished airing[/B]. Kajitsu was great the first few episodes, then everything went to shit at mach speed. Rakuen is 4 episodes in, plus the 50 minute Meikyuu prequel (which was also [I]really good[/I], albeit kind of creepy), and so far it's been very enjoyable.
Don't be telling people the show is shit if you haven't seen it and it isn't even finished yet. Assuming a show is bad just because one of the other seasons was bad is ignorant and pessimistic IMO.
Somebody needs to give Bell's VA an award.

It's decently entertaining when the writing doesn't dive headfirst into hilariously retarded and the fights are pretty good. Is it good beyond that? Not particularly. Is it a reasonable amount of fun to watch each week? Yes, and that's good enough for me.

So I watched my first Ghibli film yesterday while drunk, Howl's Moving castle. I tried watching Princess Mononoke afterwards, but had to plant myself in front of a toilet for 20 minutes of it in case I puked.
I have to say, I was actually a bit disappointed. The films are incredibly acclaimed, and while the art and story were very good, the voice acting was, in my opinion, too rigid. It just didn't sound right.
Caught up on Danmachi.
I think I'm going to miss the weird noises Bell and Hestia makes when this show ends
